Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Latest update: massive bug. I will update the review when it's fixed. Latest update says, for personalised content we need to sign in. Then when you tap sign in, it says a compatible chrome based browser is required I'm using opera. Opera IS chrome based. Heck, opera is MORE compatible than Firefox!
1 ★So, The Guardian have now put their app behind a subscription paywall, which is an instant uninstall for me. Bizarre decision, as it's so easy for anyone to just view The Guardian news for free on an internet browser on their phone. I paid a subscription to the Guardian for years but refuse to be forced into it by an article limit. Ironically, I'll now also avoid all their advertising as I use an ad free browser!
5 ★I'm hooked on this. I pay to have it ad free which is great. I especially like the way the ap allows you to explore an issue in great depth. I have not yet used the video features because I prefer to read.
4 ★The guardian is my paper of choice. I also send a smallish amount yearly to support. Sometimes a bit sluggish, but easily put up with that. Great journalism, what more could you want! Follow the cricket too.
1 ★Well very disappointed, for a paper that claims, & supports left wing opion, it's a capitalist company creaming off cash for an app. The website is free apparently? An app like this is basically just a website, anyway, no worries I will use the web.!! No issue with excellent unbiased content, but pay a subscription, yet the app is full of ads? Almost as bad as the Times click an article, but then pay? Oh wait give it 19 days & your free 19 articles are renewed. Shame, bye bye Guardian.
1 ★I'm using this App on my Samsung Galaxy phone. It's useless. Can't scroll up or down. It jumps from one story to another then the peice I'm reading disappears altogether. Had enough. If it doesn't improve very soon I will unsubscribe.
1 ★News content is fairly good, even though it's sometimes a bit gutless. Rating at one star due to reading limit on the app. Just go to the website instead so that you can actually read the news instead of just headlines.
5 ★I stopped subscribing to the Guardian years ago due to a lack of income, but I continued to read the free and limited edition online. After reading the information from the Guardian about their funding and their willingness to continue providing the free access online, because my income is now improved, I have decided to resubscribe, both to support excellent journalism and to open up to me all of the additional features and articles. Excellent value for money.
1 ★I've been using this app for a very long time until these greedy people start blocking access to articles unless you pay, I don't work like that, plus lots of negative journalists who write bad content and use other techniques for you to feel negative of those they write about, for example patronising, words and images they use. Because money matters more instead of providing a service to the people, it's not about the people, it's about money. I'm uninstaling this app, healthy decision too.
5 ★I rated The Guardian as a high-quality journey because of its wide and generally unbias range of content. I am not from the UK and my first contact with the journey was encouraged by the University which says a lot about the journey. The app is easy to manage and have different option to approach news.
5 ★I enjoy reading the reports and find they give a fair and balanced review. The option of using the app makes it easier for me when I'm travelling to and from work each day. I pay a voluntary subscription to help, in part, for the fine work Guardian journalists do.
5 ★One of the best news apps. Objective, diverse coverage on a wide range of topics. Not just news, but also sports, arts, culture, life styles, photography,... Articles are always well written & well researched. No other news app comes close to this.
