Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

2 ★Was a great app. Over the last several months it is very slow to get to the feed screen and even takes time for the articles to load even once at the feed screen. Why does the app open with an advertisement now? I wouldn't mind it if didn't have to see it for so long. Sometimes it's so long my screen will actually time out and go to screen saver. Improvement is fine but clutter and nonsense is a no go.
3 ★My favorite part about this app's widget was the scoreboard design... being able to see multiple scores for a league on one screen. With the latest update, it appears they've gone to a scrolling list of scores, one game at a time. I can't find any setting to choose widget layout. It's frustrating not being able to take a quick glance and see what the hockey scores and/or schedule is and instead needing to open the full app or click through the scroll.
4 ★Great App! Really would recommend it. However there could be improvement in certain areas that would make things easier for the user. Navigation can be confusing sometimes but once you get used to it, it is pretty smooth sailing. Also can you guys implement a feature for the NHL where you can see the lineups for every game. For example, like who is playing on the first line, second line, third, etc.. Like how you guys do it for the Fifa matches. That would just my stars to 5 instantly.
1 ★Just takes too long to load now. Takes 35 seconds to move on from the load screen. Which is not ideal when you just need to check scores real quick. It didn't start out that way, when first installed it would load pretty quickly, but after a couple weeks of use it just dies down and moves at a snail's pace. 3rd time in the last year I've tried giving this app a chance but I'm done.
5 ★Great sports app. Works consistently. Not sure I'm crazy about some of the ads, but easy to access info on teams across multiple leagues, standings, stats, rosters, schedules and recaps. I did have an issue one time recently where stories were not displaying. Someone at the app got back to me with a simple fix within 24 hrs. Would definitely recommend.
2 ★I have used this app for years with the score widget front and center on my homepage, but the increase in advertising pop-ups this month has become intrusive to the overall experience. I guess that's the point with advertising to make you notice but it is causing me to investigate other options (which, obviously, defeats the point of the advertising). We'll see what wins out the search for better or reduced satisfaction with theScore
2 ★this used to be the best app out there, then they updated it and added a full screen ad every time I open the app. will be deleting and finding a new sports app. shame. edit to their response: obviously in app ads are expected in a free app. But not an ad that is full screen literally everytime I open it. I can close the app, literally open it 10 seconds later and get another full screen ad. It's ridiculous.
2 ★So now there's a giant ad for their betting app at the top of the game view. And to make it even worse, the space is not accounted for before it loads in, it takes a second or two, so everything shifts down when it does load in. Don't try to tap on tab or the team on the top before the ad loads in because it will probably do so right when you tap so you "accidentally" tap it. It's either bad UX or a dark pattern but either way it's terrible.
1 ★Every time I enter the app it takes forever to load, I can't ever seem to find stats on my specific NFL teams I'd chosen because they mix all the sports teams together; what's the point when I chose specific teams for a reason?! The layout is frustrating, the ads are annoying and loud! It's hard to see lineups, matchups and games coming up because the interface is so scattered. Call me crazy, but I like a little common sense and organization! This app lacks both! Uninstalling!
3 ★Good for updating games in a timely manner, but would you *please* group the Android notifications. Tired of seeing your icon repeated all the way across the top of the screen. Android 7 seems to flake out and go to the lock screen when there are too many notifications (may not be specifically related to this app, but started around the time I installed it on the tablet in question). If you group your notifications like virtually every other Android app, then I can eliminate this app as a suspect in the lock screen shenanigans. EDIT: I know there is a notification grouping setting (or was at some time). It is on (and always has been AFAIK). Or perhaps it is the default? Regardless, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the still un-grouped alerts. Please fix this. EDIT: I can send an email, but the problem is pretty clear on my Android 7 tablet: the notifications don't group, regardless of that setting. Will try un-checking it and checking it again... EDIT: So no dice on the alerts not grouping. Make no mistake: they do NOT group. Support email predictably demanded a screen shot (to make sure I wasn't blind or stupid I guess). Will get right on that. :)
1 ★User of this app for many years. Loved it, and was very useful. Any problems and complaints were dealt with by emailing developers, who always responded quickly with good advice. Now, app freezes every time entering a game matchup or trying to access standings. Emailed for help 4x, no one bothers to respond anymore. Sadly, had to download a competing app that works flawlessly....
1 ★Takes forever to load. Why have an app if it takes this long to pull up. I can get anything I need on Google 10x faster. Used to be great alternative to ESPN and CBS as those used to take forever as well. Now this is worse. I emailed several times and I was told the same thing over and over again. Read the reviews. Your app sucks now! If you want to stop losing customers faster than Blockbuster did, fix it!!!
