Készüléke segítségével kísérjük végig Önt a szendrői várak történetét -a település első 1312-es első említésétől egészen a Felsővár 18. század elejéig tartó időszakáig -bemutató interaktív kiállításon. A Magyar-Alföldet határoló, Északi-középhegység közelében elhelyezkedő Cserehát dombvidéken, a Bódva-völgyben található Szendrő. Szendrő területén valószínűleg eredetileg három vár is létezett egy időben. A középkori erődítmény minden bizonnyal a település mai központjában állt. Maradványai ma is megfigyelhetők a házak között. A beazonosított helyű várak közül az Alsóvár épült legkorábban. Az ábrázolások alapján ismert ötbástyás Németvár, a Bódva ágaival körbevett erődjének, a huszárvárral bővített alaprajza a mai településszerkezetben is megfigyelhető. Christoforo Stella hadmérnök tervei alapján vette kezdetét a 16. század utolsó évtizedében a Felsővár építése a Várhegyen kijelölt területen. Szendrő kora újkori várának egykori területén készüléke segítségével virtuális időutazás során ismerheti meg az egykori Felsővár három korszakát és helyszíneit.
