Description

The Venstar Configurator App allows users to easily setup and configure Wi-Fi settings for the Venstar Explorer line of thermostats and sensors.

This intuitive app also allows the user to configure settings and the ‘personality’ of each Explorer thermostat from their mobile device. In the installer’s hands, this handy tool can quickly setup and configure multiple thermostat locations.

How to install Venstar Configurator APK on Android phone or tablet?

4 ★The only problem I found with this app is that it didn't work... until I contacted Venstar support. They replied within an hour with the answer-- I needed to turn off the cellular radio, use only WiFi during the configuration process (place in Airplane Mode, turn on WiFi). Worked perfectly. This, of course needs to be made clear in the app and in the Quick Start literature that comes with the thermostat.

4 ★Did not work with Pixel 3a with Android 9 - it connected the the thermostat's AP automatically, but didn't do anything after that. Installed on Samsung tablet also running Android 9, and it worked instantly. If you have trouble like this, just try a different device. Venstar, please test this on more devices...

5 ★Worked perfectly for setting up wifi on all four of my Venstar thermostats. Did it's job just fine so I'll give it five stars.

2 ★Worked OK to set up wifi but keeps giving error message when trying to save profile. Fail.

1 ★This kept kicking out during setup. Had to repeat steps over and over.After the 5th time doing the same thing I gave up.

5 ★Works as intended and is easy to use. Configures wireless devices with ease. One con is that the on screen instructions do not show you how to add the sensor(s) to the Venstar thermostat. For Venstar thermostat s you just have to go into the settings menu and add wireless sensors.
