Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

4 ★Bit buggy at the minute. It won't open and when it does it asks me to do my touch/face authentication repeatedly. When it works I really like it for at-a-glance information. I just wish I would work properly. -Note 20 Ultra
5 ★Much more like reading a daily newspaper. Some news is "old" because you've encountered it already on the Guardian 'live' app or TV/Radio but you can go though everything that was published since the previous morning, much of which you might otherwise overlook.
1 ★Unbelievably bad, a calamity which needs to be reverted before permanent damage is done to your readership. Your iPad subscribers have been thrown under a bus to produce a mobile version that is way, way inferior to what you could have done. Have a whip round in Guardian Towers, treat yourselves to an Economist subscription and use it to learn what you could and should have done to bring the iPad Daily Edition to hand phone users. My trial subscription of the new app ends on Friday. I'm certainly not going to pay for this garbage so if you haven't backed it out by then, after 44 years of reading The Graun I'll be joining your ever-mounting list of cancellations.
1 ★I found the app to be ok but not what I wanted. When I attempted to cancel my subscription I was told to call their office during business hours to do so! Not at all happy with this, if a subscription is set up online I expect to be able to cancel it on line as well...
2 ★No facility for changing font size such as pinch and zoom, which should be pretty basic functionality for any Android mobile reading app. The default font for article content is far too large.
1 ★Downloads not available when offline. I have it set to download last seven days. Whenever I am offline there is nothing to read. When I go back online the supposedly downloaded editions re-appear. Also lots missing and no comments. The web page is best, then the Guardian app, then last by a long way, this.
1 ★The app quite literally won't download/show all articles on most days. Yesterday was the first day when I could read all articles. Today I'm only able to access Financial and Crosswords. Situation applys to both wifi and mobile data. Needs fixed ASAP. Right now it's a waste of money.
2 ★Technical support is non-existent. I reported a problem (crosswords started to refuse to load) and I was told someone would get back to me. They never have. I should stick to the free version.
2 ★The app doesn't seem to have improved in several years. There is no night mode which seems like a basic missing element. Also why can't every item be shared?
5 ★Paper-free access to the daily paper. Excellent.
5 ★Having the news in Daily edition is good for my anxiety. Nice app, easy to browse. Hope to see it develop with scalable text and high res scans of the cartoons.
5 ★I like the Editions format, because it is has the good bits of a newspaper, a single curated set of content once a day that avoids you feeling that you should keep looking for updates throughout the day.
