A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Redesigned app is worse than the prior version. Headline fonts too large and do not always fit on a single screen requiring a scroll down just to read the headlines. Rotating your screen shows even less information, sometimes ypu see no headline at all. I would give it no stars if I could. Very disappointing. Can't use it anymore. Cancelling my subscription.
2 ★I don't like the new format. Newer articles seem to be buried below older articles. There is an excessive amount of redundancy. If you select the business section or another specific section, there is no reason to have articles from other sections that are unrelated. The changes have made it very cumbersome to find the most recent articles.
3 ★Biggest issue I have with the Tribune app is that it does not keep place if I switch to another app then back to finish reading the story - it always takes me back to the beginning. Same thing happens when I view an embedded video. Having a progress bar on the side to give me an idea how much of the article I've read would be the 2nd item I'd fix.
1 ★Since the last update, the app works all the way to the final step, then hangs. When one tries to download the PDF file, the tablet responds, but no signal or data is sent to the Tribune to begin the download. The only way to do this is through the Chicago Tribune website. This app is, for all intents and purposes, worthless. I have told the Chicago Tribune via phone of this problem, but they have ignored it.
1 ★Terrible. Customer service is a joke. I am unable to cancel this subscription and get my money refunded. Very frustrating!!!
3 ★Not a substitute for the online version of the print copy and harder to scan for items of interest. Seems to be missing some of the features such as crosswords and comics that provided a counter to the depressing stories that are "news". Ignores the advantage of digital by forcing editor's preferences on the structure. Would prefer a chapter index of the stories in each section, with a link to each, not a large title and lead story per section and scrolling. Try again.
1 ★These comments refer to the "Enewspaper" within the app: Hate the pop-up ads! Also hate the generally blank advertising pages. I'd rather spend a few subscription bucks more a month then to be constantly flicking those pop-up ads off the page in order to read what's under them! Can't send articles - get an error message instead. have to leave the Enewspaper to find the article and then send it from that location! Unstable platform, hourglasses regularly. Other digital papers better!
1 ★When reading an article and switch to another screen and return to this app it goes back to the home page. Takes forever to find your article again. Really a retarded app compared to the NY Times app update: app is now much worse, not just mostly all tabloid articles but the print is as large as as the headlines on table at the grocery store checkout. I find this Chicago Tribune app unusable, uninstalling.
2 ★This app is terrible when compared to the Chicago Sun Times and other newspaper apps. The breaking news notifications are no longer working. It's also really annoying that despite my subscription to the Chicago Tribune, there are pop up and digital ads in the app. I've attempted to remedy the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the app a couple times. I even cleared app data and the cache, and it didn't make a difference.
1 ★Can't access premium when member (same as others report since may, 2020). What's the point of trying to support journalism if I can't read any of said journalistic content (that I paid for). Emails to customer service are rejected as bad address and phone support takes 3+hours to get someone on the phone. Ridiculous. Fix this NOW! I can't even cancel bc you won't talk to us. No wonder journalism is dying
2 ★Still a problem after new update-5/5/2020, 1/4/2020 The app won't save any articles, though the bookmarking tool says it's saving them. It is very frustrating. Kind of makes the app useless, as there is no reading history. When trying to write customer support, my emails are rejected. I am a paid subscriber of the paper. I might as well just sign in through the browser.
1 ★Was a good app. The developers only care about IOS users. Android users, after the update, are left with a piece of junk. Constantly freezes can no longer print from app. Cannot send emails or messaging from app. 50 messages with useless techs who insist they are working to solve the issues. Tribune?
