1 ★Don't install - this is a Chinese app, which means they can give your data to the Chinese gov't. The app is glitchy, which I noticed the first day, and crashes. If you try to earn free credits from videos, some videos won't allow you to exit them and will go to Google Play when you touch them after waiting far too long, meaning the only way out is to close TalkU. It doesn't always give you credits for videos watched and caps your credits. Sometimes texts I sent weren't received.
1 ★Absolute scam garbage. Don't install this app unless you are looking to chase a bunch of trial apps, surveys, annoying games, all that nonsense, designed to break you down to get you to pay the makers of the trap - I mean, app - far more than the annoyance is worth. Just go with one of the other terrible free texting apps that bombard you with ads. I promise, it's far less annoying.
1 ★Credits not given when earned. They do nothing to help but cancel your ticket. Nothing free about it as it constantly changes how it charges based on the amount you use it and the credits you actually have left. Not able to get anywhere with getting help correcting issues so I'm left no choice but to write one star review until something gets done. Very disappointing after the amount of money invested not to mention what they make off the ads that never seem to go away even when paid to.
1 ★Gets worse and worse. Now they are charging 100 credits to keep the number. I hate this app and absolutely regret setting up my biz line using it. It's littered with ads. I have to check in everyday to earn 1 frickin credit while my other second line phone apps don't require that nonsense. If I have my Bluetooth device in use and my number rings it disconnects and makes a mess. I then have to force close the app, turn my bluetooth on and off and sometimes restart my phone completely. 0 stars!
1 ★Completely Useless, i bought a number but can not even use it, you have credit now and next second.. you have nothing, the fact that you have to pay for credit after paying for a subscription is insane.. and if you decide to watch video ads to earn credit.. the credit will never come in to your app after watching the ads,the most insane part is that you even need credits to receive texts, who does that?? So if you have an important text coming in and you have low credit.. be ready to cry
2 ★An app with so much potential but with lots of issues. No complete pricing info before you sign up. Need to pay 7 bucks before you actually get a number. Then you need to pay for credits before you can actually start making calls. I budged and pay. Then more charges come later such as call recording, forwarding, connection fees... Website is useless. Cant find anywhere about company info. Is it American or Chinese? Transparancy is a big problem.
1 ★Free credit Offers from games and apps are a scam and a waste of time, they haven't worked for months. This app uses supersonicads and they don't actually pay out any credits and any appeal to get the credits is denied by them. The app allows you to get 1 to 3 free credits a day. Plan on buying credits if you want to use your extra line for more than an occasional text.

Promise verification codes and you can't even view them because "this message is not fully displayed as your number is in risk of expiring, which could affect the safety of your relevant account. To show the full content, please lock in your phone number now." App interface is garbage. Don't believe the reviews; they're obviously fake. If you wanted a second phone number that stayed "relevant" I'm afraid you're out of luck on this one.
5 ★Throughout the past 10 years I have tried dozens of different apps (for the benefit of a secondary phone and for my small business) and by far, TalkU has consistently been my first choice. Great developers! Easy to use, no annoying ads, visually appealing format and overall a great app if you're looking for a 2nd phone number to use for calling or even just for messaging.
5 ★I lost my phone first time ever! I can honestly said I was a little lost. I had an old phone at the house that was unable to be activated but used in wifi. I was skeptical about downloading any app but tgis one came with high marks. I am glad I did. I have had very clear reception on wifi calls and being able to watch ads to earn credits is a Godsent. I urge you to try this app you wont regret it.
1 ★This app is terrible in several ways. To text someone, you have to FIRST make a phone call then cancel if they are not already in your contact list. It doesn't let you just type in the number straight up, it only makes you pick a contact from your list or reply to a text you've already received. While you are in a call, it oftens makes NONSTOP beeping noises - SO ANNOYING! Also, it's so often "disconnected" even when the network is perfectly fine. I often have to kill the app then restart it just to read new messages. For this reason, I sometimes miss texts/calls. And also sending a message only to get the "message not sent" error constantly, even though sometimes it actually goes through is pathetic. FURTHERMORE, even though I was a PAYING user, I would still get ADS, annoying notifications that you can't turn off, and popups of their stupid games. I contacted them several times about this and they refuse to do anything about it. They don't seem to understand the SIMPLE LOGIC that paying users should NEVER be getting any sort of ads. Ads should only be for those who have not made any purchases. I am so switching out of this pathetic app!
5 ★Great job fixing all the problems. All my talkatone contacts are accessible now! Would love to pay a one time price for talku free texting, just a thought. Awesome best free texting app works great. It works great for texting. Awesome and best text free calling app for free there is out there. I tried other similar applications this is the best.
