Regularly updated articles and tourist spot information, maps, and route search features help you plan and travel your journey across Japan. Transit search is compatible with Japan Rail Pass.
Explore Japan through content-rich articles introducing big cities to small rural towns and events. The articles are selected by JNTO for the app to enrich your journey.
The app contains basic information about Japan that may be helpful for tourists, such as general rules and manners, medical assistance, and embassy contact details. Links to helpful services also provided.

-Search covers all modes of public transport (trains including JR and subway lines, airplanes, taxis, and ferries), and is compatible with Japan Rail Pass

2 ★I like the app. However, the map only loads Tokyo region by default. Also, there seems to be no point selection for route search and the locations to search from feel 10 years behind. When I was in Osaka with unlimited data, it took forever to load and crashed frequently (maybe took data intensive).
3 ★This app looks brilliant, stored all my journeys into favourites for future use... perfect. Only now with a few weeks to go the app won't let me into the favourites. Thank goodness I wasn't in Japan at the time! Guess it's good old fashioned pen and paper for me!
1 ★This app is only useful for the train network route search. Tourism information is available in better quality and less biased views elsewhere online. The train route function has a fateful flaw where it puts the JR pass icon on routes that do not allow it causing huge embarassment and delays to the traveller.
4 ★this app is very detailed the only thing that is keeping me from giving it five stars is the user interface I would really like it and appreciate it if whoever developed the app would make it so that you don't have to answer a survey 90 times while you're traveling in Japan it's really kind of inconvenient to have to do that every time you open up the app especially when you're putting in the same exact information every time. If they can change that it would easily be a 5 star app.
5 ★Excellent app which greatly helped us navigate through japan. Only 2 minor inconveniences, it would help to include in some way price + tax for the train and bus fares, as well as have a translation for bus stops. Otherwise the app is extremely helpful and easy to use.
5 ★An excellent app when travelling in Japan. Train route search is great even to the point of telling you which platform to board the train. If you search for train routes and place of interest together, it will include walking instructions via Google Maps. I will definitely be recommending this app to all Japan travellers.
5 ★Very useful app, its allowed us to plan our Day to Day Intinerary for daily trips with information of Timetable of Trains and Bus Schedule as well as the maps that shows is the locations. If possible,with just a little bit of improvement by allowing us to re-shuffle the Favourite (Up and Down)for better arrangement for our day trip on the History/Favourite when doing the Route Search.
5 ★This app has been so useful for travelling with a Japan Rail pass. I'm using the route finder constantly, it's very user-friendly. It also lists the weather, hotels and attractions in the results page. Would recommend!
4 ★It's actually a fantasic app for any English speaker traveling in Japan. Finds best routes and lets you prioritize JR Pass routes (very good deal for visitors). I immediately restricted background data usage though, because it will drain your battery by constantly sending your location to Japanese tourism bureau.
4 ★Great app for finding public transport routes in Japan. Very accurate. However it constantly shows a persistent notification that cannot be dismissed, even when the app is closed. Have to restart the phone to get it to go away
5 ★This app is a must for anyone visiting Japan. Gives all options for travel. The train system is Japan is vast and can seem like a maze to the uninitiated...this app gives all details ...right down to exits and platform numbers to use.
5 ★#1 app I used for travel in Japan. Visited Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka and used this app to determine which trains, subways, buses, etc. to use. I found this much easier to use than gurunavi for instance.
