5 ★An essential when traveling to Japan. Shinkansen guides are available, as well as good restaurant, shops, and landmarks to stroll
1 ★Useful app for traveller that uses pass to travel around Japan as they indicated specific route based on pass purchase. 1 star for putting train map and stop in between behind hefty subscription. Those info were essential for traveller when certain trains or buses don't have fully english integrated. It's extra charges for traveller who bought any form pass.
4 ★Its ok i upgraded but it doesn't update your location like google does , google guides you step by step this app shows u how and what to take but no step by step guidance love the balance ck for my suica card
4 ★Excellent app for anyone visiting Japan. Itineraries are easy to make and the app actually calculate automatically a route with needed time from one to another destination. A must app for Japan visitors really!
3 ★It's decent but it feels pretty bulky. The app is full of different features, most of which many people don't need. The constant pestering to subscribe is pretty annoying too, and for some reason the app needs to stay open 24/7 for 'tourist' reasons!? I'd much rather this app was broken up into 2 apps, one for just the train navigation and one for all the other junk.
2 ★Literally adware and spyware. I'm not even joking. The app is always on and it tracks your location, and then sends you ads from shops near your area. It sends you surveys which don't even work. Sometimes other notifications. All in exchange to see which trains are covered with your various passes - a feature so limited you'll use it once to find a line and then immediately go back to Google Maps.
1 ★Slow not relevant or modern, not useful for travellers from abroad.
1 ★Locked features that were free for years and suddenly made you pay for them. ( seeing stops between your pount of departure and destination ) If you'd like to increase revenue ethically, add new features, dont take away ones that customers are used to
4 ★This app is fabulous and indispensable when planning a public transport journey in Japan. It however would be great if the search option had "via" for origination and destination, just as its original Japanese edition cousin. Without this via entry box, the search results can be poor. A better route you get in the Japanese edition using the via box cannot be obtained in this English edition by the lack of the via box.
5 ★Occasionally can be awkward when dealing with times when editing a route. When searching for a different train, there doesn't seem to be a way to select a different route even though you can see it when searching the timetable. These are small issues, my first couple of days in Japan on the Shinkansen, Tokyo metro and rail links has been very simple with this app, thank you! 👍
5 ★Great app for first time travelers to Japan. Very helpful to guide which is the best route to take especially if you have a JR pass. But it would be better if there is an option for transit time. The best routes sometimes only provide short transit times which can be difficult if you don't know the actual situation and conditions or are traveling with children.
