Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★Poorly designed. I doesnt work on my mobile (android) and have constant issues to the extend I dont feel like using it ever. If I am not wrong it cannot be used for offline reading. Have contacted hiragana times but as typical they offered some irrelevant answer. They should offer the option to download all material localy for offline access anytime like they used in the past. This is typical Japanese obsession to protect their data to the extend that it hurts the sales. Such a shame... Wont be subscribing again
3 ★First! This is really an amazing tool for dedicated learners. Real Japanese, real situations, real news, well done! But two big dings make it less than a 5 star currently. 1 - I can't use the Apple subscription on my Android! Sad. Please fix it, I have a year sub. 2 - I can't turn off furigana to help myself learn to read better. Would be nice if I could turn it off in levels, like all N3 and below Kanji don't show readings, for example. Would L O V E that!!
1 ★This app gives me an error message that Hiragana Times stopped working. It seems so because I don't grant it permission to access my location and contacts. I see no reason why these permissions need to be given. Storage permission is fine. But contacts?
1 ★Why on earth does this app refuse to let me use it unless I give itpermission to access my location, contacts and storage? Storage I canunderstand, but contacts? And unless you agree to give access to everythingyou can't use the app at all? After I've paid for a subscription?
4 ★Really useful especially the audio. Would like it even more if it would let me move it to the sdcard and put my subscription copies there as I keep running out of space
1 ★The contents are great but the app is bad.you cannot restore your purchases with the restore function you have to do it one issue by one and older issues disappear from the content page and cannot be restored! Frustrating.
1 ★Terms of service is Japanese and I cannot use the app without granting it access to location and contacts.
2 ★please provide a roumaji-free edition as an option. The roumaji undermine my reading efforts. AND. Please : i need ALL of my offline LANGUAGE LEARNING data on my ext SD card folks. This is lollipop, so please edit that XML for the apk and give me a popup dialog to make my choice. Marshmallow? Nougat?
1 ★Open up the app to an error message in Japanese. No idea what's wrong with it.
1 ★No sample to load and test
4 ★Great publication. However if I purchase using Nexus 7, how can I read same issue under Nexus 5?
4 ★I thought that the magazine would be downloaded onto my device after paying the year's subscription, but it seems one still needs the app to read it after download.
