How to install Beam Smart Remote APK on Android phone or tablet?

4 ★For a long time, this app gave me the data error, but I happened to decide to try it today to program my remote for a second-have Blu-ray player that didn't have a remote. For the first time, it connected and loaded the device codes. Now that it works, the app is a great way to program a remote.

1 ★The Beam App does not show any devices to program. The app consistently states: "Get Device Data Failed. The Programming menu only has 2 menus to select from: Activities and Custom Buttons. I had to resort to code list programming. I lost the code list and I was not able to find it on the website. The only reason I did not return this is because I lost the receipt. The good thing is if you program it once most of the buttons work. It is very confusing. I wish I could reprogram all of the buttons because they do not work like the they state . Don't buy the remote if you expect it to be easy to program using an Android phone, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy note 8. The remote does have a loud locate beep. Save your money and get any competitor for a few dollars more with an app that works. This remote was on sale for cheaper than the "One For All". I have the "One For All" and its app does work. Id leave no stars if I could for Beam.
1 ★Why does a remote control app need to access my location? Horrible app. When it worked, it just used my phone as a way to find the manual code. Then the app kept asking for a username I never created, with no way to create one. Uninstalled it. I just tried it again, to see if it had been fixed, but now it wants my location. If you deny that permission, it just asks again, endlessly. Uninstalled a second time.
3 ★Needed a new remote that I could program multiple functions onto a single button, which this does just fine. All programmed functions worked just fine, BUT I had to manually input everything because I couldn't ever get the remote to pair up with my LG V30. I tried for over an hour, downloaded, re-download, tried and tried again and again, but it never paired. The remote is very nice and works very well. THE APP SUCKS!
