Turn your mobile device into a remote control for your Rexton and Audio Service hearing aids! The app enhances discretion by hiding the remote control within your mobile device without the need for additional hardware. Full control of your hearing aids looks as subtle as checking for a text message.The app will only provide all the functions if configured by your hearing health specialist.
App features:
• Change hearing programs without the need to touch your hearing aids.
• Change the volume easily and discreetly.
• Easily mute and unmute the hearing aids.
• Adjust bass & treble to balance the quality of sound.
• Adjust the span and direction of the microphones (PL 80 & 60 and TL 16 & 12 devices).
• Check the battery status of your hearing aids (PL 80 / 60 / 40 and TL 16 / 12 / 8 devices).
Intended use:
The Smart Remote App is a tool whereby the patient can adjust convenience functions of a hearing aid, within a framework given by a hearing health specialist, e.g., ENT doctor, audiologist or acoustician.
Device compatibility:
The Smart Remote App is compatible with any Android device running Android 4.0 or higher public release.
Hearing aid compatibility:
The Smart Remote App is only compatible with the latest generation of Rexton 6c & 4c [80 / 60 / 40 / 30 / 20], Audio Service G4 & G3 [16 / 12 / 8 / 6 / 4] & A&M XTM hearing aids.
Control signals:
The Smart Remote App generates short control signals which are designed to be played through the devices speakers and may be audible.
To ensure correct operation and for safety reasons:
1. While using the app do not hold the loudspeaker of this device to your ears or the ears of others.
2. While using the app do not use the device with headphones, headsets or other audio playback devices.

1 ★App constantly cuts out especially when phone connects to other devices via bluetooth, very disappointing ☹
1 ★Half the time it doesn't work most if the time with the hearing aids I have purchased at Costco. My phone is android and I tried to re install the app a number of times and it still doesn't work.
4 ★Works under most circumstances. Doesnt do so well in loud environments.

3 ★Does not transfer well when I got my new phone. Rescanned the QR code, but it's not working properly. Going to go back to store to get it reprogrammed. Grrr!
2 ★This is my first set of hearing aids; the app has been installed & uninstalled 4 times in the five days since i picked up the aids. Quite frankly -- it does not work well. For the cost of the Rexton devices, I expected a much more dependable app. And it took me a half-day to determine why my car Bluetooth would not work-- if this remote is left on, then any other Bluetooth device is denied access to my phone. Distracted driving fines are high in Canada. So no remote when driving.
2 ★this is a very strange app. Its purpose seems to be to give you an option between two different sound profiles which are not explained, and to give you a master bass and treble sound control. I guess that could be helpful to someone. but I was looking for was the ability to turn off the Bluetooth program in the hearing aids in an airplane mode since the Bluetooth always on feature is making my brain buzz. I know that sounds weird but there is no other way to describe the sensation.
3 ★I couldn't decide between a 2 or 3 star rating. It would get a higher rating, but the app won't function if your phone is connected to another bluetooth device (car, pandora, ear piece, etc). Sorry, but for the price of these devices, they are about 10 years behind with the tech. Please fix to get a higher rating.
1 ★This application continually plays up and is becoming a major frustration. I paid a lot of money for wireless aids and this app does not work!
5 ★In a noisy restaurant, this app is amazing. It looks like you have implemented a variable-bandwidth bandpass filter. Clever!
4 ★Very good features compared to competition, and streets ahead of aids that require a streamer. For Rexton aids the rapid wax accumulation in microphone and vents of ear buds due to very small apertures, is a fault. Re the app my only uncertainty relates to Bluetooth -- does Connexx require activation to use all features eg. when changing microphone direction - no feedback for this setting. Very pleased, thanks.
2 ★Works some of the time .Then it just disconnects. I have had this installed for a few years and it keeps doing that. A big pain in the butt. Surely you can improve this. Sometimes it disconnects from my remote. Dosen't help us old guys. Guess I'll look for a better hearing aid .
