Description

The LibraryThing app allows LibraryThing members to catalog and browse their collections. LibraryThing is focused on books, but you can add most media, including books, DVDs and CDs. LibraryThing relies on data from Amazon, and over 65 million library records.

Add books by searching for them or scanning their ISBN barcode with the camera.

Add high-resolution cover photos of your books with the cover editor and browse your books by cover type to find copies that need better covers.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★There still does not appear to be a way to add a collection from the app. Not sure why; collections are one thing that makes Library Thing better than Goodreads.
5 ★We signed up for a $25 lifetime membership, which I thought was very reasonable. The creator wrote a very honest appeal; if the app was as successful as he thought it would be, $25 a head would turn him into a millionaire quite quickly and he didn't need any more money than that. Think of the prices and the profits other apps make...it's obscene. We have a big library divided between two countries, and this app has allowed us to have all the information at our fingertips. We love it!
1 ★The mobile app does NOT allow you to add to Collections despite you editing that fact in the book. It's too difficult to use. Wanted to alternate with the PC version but frankly you have made the effort to make it mobile friendly. Do better.
4 ★It does what I want, keeps everything where it should be. One star loss because I can't sort the authors in last name, first name order in the app - which is the way I have my books on the shelf.
5 ★I've only just scratched the surface of this app but I'm loving it!! It's going to be a momentous task scanning in all my books but it will be worth it. would like to be able to see a friends list on the app, maybe you can and I just havnt seen it yet.
4 ★Excellent app, just needs the ability to add new library categories (movies, music, etc.) I'd like to browse one media type at a time, not books and movies mixed together.
3 ★This app needs the ability to Take Inventory. It's great for adding books, but I need to take an inventory and would like to be able to scan books from the app and mark them as here.
3 ★The app can scan Barcodes and books and build an in-app catalogue. However it's impossible to export that catalogue list in the form of a text file, csv list or anything of the like for further processing.
5 ★I'm a lifetime member of LibraryThing and I'm pleased to have this app with which I can easily add books to my catalog as well as view my collection wherever I am.
5 ★love it. I mainly use it to scan the barcode of new books into my library & check whether I already own the book when I'm out & about shopping. It meets my expectations.
4 ★The features the app has seem to work great. Would like a way to inventory a shelf (scan each book) and have a report of new, found and missing items. Thanks!
3 ★I would love for this app to be as intuitive as the one for Goodreads, but it's just not there. I would ditch GR in a heartbeat, but the app's usability is still an obstacle.
