Q1: I used WinZip to protect a folder of files with a password, but the list of files can still be viewed. Why?
A1: Even though the files or folder is encrypted, the file names can still be viewed (but not the file content). For this reason, we recommend that you avoid using confidential information in file or folder names. For example, avoid using account numbers or ID numbers (such as a social insurance number) in file or folder names.
Q2: I am using WinZip to compress JPEGs, but the size didn’t change much. Why?
A2: In order to compress your photos as much as possible, without any loss of photo quality, in the app Settings, choose Zipx (Best Method). This compression method examines each file and selects the compression option most likely to supply the best compression results.

5 ★I've used Winzip for many years now. It's in my experience, that it's the Best archiving tool available. Many people don’t even know what zipping up a file means. Simply put, it compresses a file, for storage, or so you can send it by email or an attachment, etc. I highly recommend this tool.
1 ★Useless, after having been scammed with license fee on windows.. with no chancenof a refund thought i could make use of unwanted purchase ob phone. Not only was that not feasible but the user experience of rhe free version is zero. Thw theory being view an add unzip a file... Nope.. watch many ads/visit sites.. still cant unzip.. designed by imbeciles and installed by one!! Do not touch this product on any platform
5 ★This is a great App but none of you will know why this App programmer is smarter than those at Android OS. When you copy old photos & docs to SD card, all original file dates will be overwritten to today's timestamp. Same will happen when you copy to your new phone. All original file dates will be LOST. HOWEVER, if you WinZip your old files and move the Zip file to your new phone, all your original file timestamps will be preserved after de-compression. #WinZip #FTW
1 ★Asked for my credit card to "verify" my free account. Then all the content was about watching videos or playing games that were already on the site. All I wanted was to zip one file - a video of my daughter's play so her family in Wyoming could see it. (We're military so we stay connected by FaceTime or pictures and videos. It immediately took over my phone. It all froze up and crashed, and I had a bunch of other stuff running in the background that I didn't approve. I Uninstalled and cancelled

5 ★I swear it seems people live to komplain. I've been using Winzip for almost 20yrs and never had a problem. What you're using it for determines if you'll have to spend money, but that's like anything else that has free features, whether on a pc or a cellphone. I love Winzip and will kontinue to use it. 1 ★I installed this to unzip files. It does not unzip files. Every time I try to unzip a file, I get a pop up window that says I don't have any apps that can open this type of file. That shouldn't happen when I installed an unzipping program on my phone in order to unzip files.
1 ★Attempted to create a zip file of photos for email transmission. The Ad banner across the bottom of screen obscures the controls to do this and when you press x to remove the banner, a dialogue appears asking you to purchase full product. Not good enough Winzip, must do better!

1 ★It used to be free. For over 20 years I was in the computer networking business and WinZip was always free to use to zip and unzip files. Now after reading the reviews of WinZip I can't believe that it went from being a very friendly workable app to an unfriendly greedy charging People application. I refuse to use winzip ever again after reading these reviews. I downloaded it but before i used it i was glad i checked the reviews, because winzip went from a top of the line app to a POS app.
1 ★I searched for a free app, and this app came up. It is not free. It has a 3-day trial and then you pay $9.99. That's deceptive in my opinion. But, legally I assume they're allowed to do this because they're giving a 3-day for trial. There should be an option for completely free forever or something to that effect, and then a tear down for free for a period of time, because people want to know about that when it's available, and apps that are not free/paid apps.
2 ★Progress indicator shows weird % 530%,1240%... If your screen locks during long zip operation the app totally hangs at 100%, zipped file seems ok but you need to force stop the app. Userguide url http link cannot be opened, feedback option I do not understand why I have to enter my email password (are you trying to steal people's email accounts and passwords??), Google drive option wants access to my address book! WHY? Can I get my money back please?
