-------------------------------------------------

MITSUBISHI Remote Control allows you to customize your Outlander PHEV experience from your Android phone.

When you connect to your PHEV’s wireless LAN, you can:
- Charge your vehicle on a timer or on demand
- Heat or cool your car before your drive
- Set timers to ensure your PHEV charges completely and avoid peak rate hours
- Turn on your headlights or parking lights to help locate your vehicle
- Check your vehicle status

The MITSUBISHI Remote Control lets you view all vehicle settings in an intuitive dashboard. Manage timer settings for charging and climate control, monitor battery status and performance, and set customized weekly schedules to reflect your lifestyle, directly from your connected device.

Please note: Your Outlander PHEV communicates with this app exclusively via Wireless LAN, not by cellular technology. Wireless LAN communication can be hindered by distance, radio waves, or physical barriers.

MITSUBISHI Remote Control is a renewed and unified experience combining and replacing the prior “OUTLANDER PHEV”, “OUTLANDER PHEV I” applications. This app is intended to provide the same functionality (and more) in an improved user interface.

For users of the earlier applications:
- “OUTLANDER PHEV” : If you are using this app, you may need to contact the nearest Authorized Mitsubishi Dealership to implement the service campaign of the security upgrade.
- “OUTLANDER PHEV I” : Please download this new MITSUBISHI Remote Control app and re-register.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Once the phone and the car are connected the app works fine (apart from a useless range, about 10 meters for me). BUT what a hopeless human interface, AND it has a really stupid restriction to just two phones AND it is all but impossible to find out how to deregister a phone. It can be done, but you have to search hard - turn on the hazard lights, lock/unlock 10 presses, then lock/unlock 20 presses and it forgets both phone registrations. Then you can start again. Part of the clue is to listen to the number of beeps to know how many phones are registered. Then .. my wife's Samsung 9, running Android 8 (Oreo), registers fine and works. But my new Sony Xperia XZ2, running Android 9 (Pie), cannot register. In fact, Android warns me on reinstalling the app that it was built for an old version and might not work. And when the Samsung upgraded to Android 9, that also lost contact with the car:-( I finally got MMC Norway to admit that there was a problem, and the MMC were working on it. Now, with the app available in Jun 2019, I have managed to connect to the car. BUT the app will not work unless the phone GPS is on! A tiny hint on the web put me on to that less-than-obvious requirement
1 ★This application is so bad. I've been trying to use it to connect to my 2018 Outlander PHEV for nearly a year. Using a Samsung S8+ and a Samsung Note 9. When it does work, I need to be standing next to the car. How is a remote control useful if it doesn't work remotely? Once you are standing next to the car so it can work you will realize the application offers very little functionality. The worst application I've used in a long, long time. The. Worst.
2 ★The functions are there, the app is just slow, clunky and nothing like it should be! It doesn't support android 9.0 ?! Really? PHEV car, on the forefront of technology .... But not the latest phone software?! The app does what it needs to, poorly, but does work ..... As long as you have over android 4.4 and below 8.0 ..... Dev should really be addressing a long time ago, mitsubishi should be ashamed
1 ★It simply doesn't work on my PHEV with MMCS software version CJ. WiFi working correctly on car and password valid (I can connect my phone directly to the car and get usual warning about no internet, so all that side of things works) but app will not connect. Very frustrating as remote operation of heating and aircon is the one (actually the only) neat feature of this app. For the record I am a full stack C#, Python, Procedural C developer so reasonably confident I know what I am doing.
1 ★Most ridiculous app I have ever used. Cannot locate the vehicle at the best of times, and when it says it's working it isn't! Had asked for a car starter when I bought the vehicle, included in my purchase agreement, but apparently this is not an option for my vehicle. This app is our only outlet and it just plain sucks.
3 ★Works on Samsung J4. But it took me a while to get it working. Patience and tech saviness shouldn't be required for an app that's supposed to make life easier. The expectation for location to be on for the app is non sense, and it will stop the app from working properly. But it wont tell you that in your mother tongue.
3 ★The design overhaul is a big improvement. However, the battery SOC should be displayed as the diagram can only give a rough estimate. Mobile data MUST be disabled to connect: When Android detects no internet access through a wireless AP it reverts to mobile data preventing communication. Hence this app should temporarily disable mobile data when opened. This and other wireless LAN disadvantages listed in the description would not be an issue if Mitsubishi switched to a GSM module on the car.
2 ★One of the worst experiences I've had with a vehicle telemetry app. After quite a few tries, i finally got it working on my previous iPhone. Got a new Samsung Galaxy S10 and it wont connect. No matter how many times i try. Its so complicated trying to connect this app to your car. Needlessly complicated.
3 ★Setup was really finicky. Turn phone off and remove sim card phone on then run setup without sim card installed, should work. Then turn phone off reinstall sim turn on, disable mobile data, open app make sure the heating / cooling works and re-enable data. Worked on s10+, this is a big issue and I haven't seen this workaround posted. The app is a bit slow but seems to work well enough for me. Pity it requires wifi connection as rail commuters cant use while travelling back to car.
1 ★Installed software in August 2018 app was working until forced update end of March 2019. Limited wifi range from vehicle barely reaches inside the house. Cannot add another smartphone to the vehicle since I cannot deactivate my Samsung Galaxy cell that the app crashes on. Maximum 2 cellphone per vehicle. The app is not worth using up the data of a smartphone. Too awkward to use with limited features.
1 ★The VERY few things it does, it seems to do well. But it is disappointingly limited. You have to be physically close to the car for any functions to work (the car's wifi must reach your phone). After initial set up I can't see anything this app does that will be of use.
1 ★4th app attempt. Worst ever. It would have been better if a SIM could have been used to connect to the car. P.S. All Outlander PHEV have BMU cheating emission software to use the full battery capacity only the first 7-10 times, after that software decrease the max charge by 0.1Ah per L2 charge/2 weeks/300-500km, so they will never be forced to replace the bad traction battery. I caught them and report them to authorities. After 2300km/6 months EV range drop by 12%. The car is worst than the app.
