3 ★Great app with a variety of shows to watch. I would say too many ads to the point where I look for other places like youtube to watch certain dramas. Also viki crashes a lot no matter what device you're using and it's not a matter of what device. I've used viki from the newest computers and phones and it would still crash every episode or have loading problems. Besides that, the variety is amazing. Accurate subtitles. Stellar quality. Design is neat, simple, and user friendly.
2 ★The shows seem great, but the problem is that the content crashed for me just because I paused an episode then turned my phone off. I unpaused when I turned my phone back on, but then found that the episode wouldn't load again, that something was wrong. I went off the app then went back in- didn't work. I un-installed then re-installed - didn't work. I tried seeing if the problem was with the episode alone by clicking on a different series, but the result was the same. I don't know what to do.
3 ★I enjoy watching the shows on this app. You've got a great selection of shows. I have NOT upgraded my subscription because of the inconsistency of the subtitles. I understand it takes time for subs to be done, but I waited THREE days for subs to be done on a couple of episodes of a show I was watching. The most frustrating part is that there was no progress with the subs during the three days. I needed up going to another platform to watch the episodes
3 ★Everytime I slightly move my phone the screen flips. For example I had my phone leaning against a waterbottel and slightly tapped it and the screen flipped. I had to turn off my screen rotation to keep if from happening. There's also way to many ads. I get that ads are what help keep this service free. But I feel they went overboard with the amount per video. I really miss Dramafever.
4 ★I love the app in the aspect that it gives you a pl as ve to go for Dramas; the subtitles settings is a nice change from other apps; & this app gives variety on genres of dramas. I gave it a "4" for the constant annoying ads. I understand it being a free app justifies the need gor advertising for money, but it just seems obsurd how often they popped up. In addition to the ads, the variety of dramas was nice, but the number and choices of shows available is lacking.
3 ★I really like this app! My main concern is the advertisements. Okay, I'm actually not too bothered by how frequent they are, I'm a patient person and I understand that's how the app is able to run, but sometimes the ad has trouble loading and freezes. A 30 second ad will have me wait two minutes bc it takes so long to load. And I know I can get vikiplus to avoid ads but I'm poor. Besides that, the quality of the dramas are clear and the captions are well made!
4 ★One of my favorite Asian drama apps that you can watch dramas for free. Great selection for Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Two downsides is the app freezes during ads which forces the user to exit out of ad or show. Even after I uninstalled the app and restarting my phone, issue still occurs repeatedly. Second, anytime you go back into episode there is always an ad.
4 ★This is a great app! I have a few suggestions: 1.) Options to change the subtitles settings (i.e. Making the black bar transparent, changing the font size, color, style). 2.) Unable to access 'My Lists/Collections" in the Firestick app (make what's accessible on the phone app across all platforms). 3.) Does not make clear if you purchase the Viki Pass Standard and decide to upgrade to Viki Pass Plus, whether or not you are charged the pro-rated difference.
1 ★The shows are very good, until commercial breaks. Then the app freezes, causing you to restart the show. But before the show restarts, the entire commercial block is replayed. I believe this is planned on the part of the app developer to register more views for advertising stats. If this is so, then shame on this developer. You risk damaging a good content app for short term ad numbers. I am so disappointed!
1 ★Viki, It's been going on for months! I want a partial refund for the unviewable time. I have not been able to use my subscription to it's fullest. I paid, I should be able to use it. Your help center copies your help pages as a solution. Been there, that's why I emailed. No real help. Login issues for days. Start a show only to find out to finish it you need to upgrade your standard pass to a Pass Plus. As I am now keyed out. All my following lists of shows/dramas are now gone. Refund please.
1 ★This app is lacking a basic feature that makes it unusable for certain shows on certain phones. I am using this app on my oneplus 7 pro, which has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Some conteny is by default in a wider aspect ratio. Black bars are put on the top and bottom of the video so it matches the more common 16:9 aspect ratios. When I try to watch on my wider display, it adds more black bars on the left and right sides, making black borders on all four sides of the video, and wont let me zoom in.
3 ★I just wanted to say that a lot of people are having similar problems with the app as I am. Unsaved progress, getting kicked out of the app, and always seeing that EXTREMELY IRRITATING "try again" message... I really miss watching dramas, it was always a "look-forward to" sort of thing after a stressful school day and I wanted to watch a bunch over the summer too! I know that the developers are aware of the situation, I just strongly miss being brought into the world of Asian Drama. Pls fix :(
