Description
高雄牙e公會本會全名為 「社團法人高雄市牙醫師公會」，英文名稱為「Kaohsiung Dental Association of the ROC」，簡稱為"KDA"。
高雄市牙醫師公會 的前身是日據時期由日本人創設的「高雄市齒科醫師會」。抗戰勝利後（1945年8月15日）蕭瑞安先生代表台灣籍牙醫師同仁從日本人手中接辦並完成重組，同時改名為「高雄市齒科醫師公會」，並擔任第一、二、三屆理事長。
1949年6月16日「高雄市齒科醫師公會」依法改成「高雄市牙醫師公會」。並報請 高雄市政府社會科核轉上峰准予備查。當時的立案證書已不可考。1988年3月8日人民團體立案證書重新換發時其證書號碼為高市社一字第765號，載明成立日期為民國38年6月16日（1949年）。
高雄市牙醫師公會原隸屬於台灣省牙醫師公會，民國67年（1978年）高雄市改為院轄市。本公會依法於民國68年11月（1979年）成立高雄市改制後第一屆高雄市牙醫師公會，由陳文順醫師當選為第一屆理事長。
早期牙醫師公會會員大多數是自日本學成回台之牙醫師。當時會員人數較少，公會隨理事長的更換而變更會址。直到改制前第13屆，因會員人數成長到將近百人左右，遂與其他各業公會合租前金區榮安街的辦公地點，並共同聘請莊嚴先生為總幹事。民國73年（1984年）會員倍數成長為三四七人。原有辦公地點不敷使用，經全體會員的努力籌款，在黃志安理事長任內購置自強二路41號2樓約60坪的會館。並於是年的12月23日正式啟用，從此牙醫師公會有了屬於自己的會館（資料來源為40周年紀念特刊 高雄市牙醫師公會改制第三屆回顧 黃志安 醫師 文）。民國83年（1994）牙醫師人數已達696人。為了提昇會員的醫療能力與知識，公會急需一個較寬敞的會館來舉辦學術活動。在孫銘隆理事長及第八屆的理監事同仁努力奔走下，於民國84年10月22日（1995年）位於一心二路 21號11樓之1的新會館終於開張了。目前高雄市牙醫師公會已是超過1000人的大團體了。
綜觀這半世紀以來的公會歷史，各個時期由於時空背景的不同而扮演不同的角色。
