Kleur de kleurplaat en misschien wordt jouw ontwerp wel gebruikt als één van de officiële festivalposters voor het Leiden International Film Festival 2014 (LIFF).Denk even terug aan vroeger, aan de allereerste keer dat je als kind een bioscoop bezocht. Je ging zitten, de lichten gingen uit en voor je het wist was je beland in een andere wereld! LIFF neemt je mee naar die filmische wereld; een plek waar iedereen terug kan gaan in de tijd en zich kan verwonderen. Filmmakers, filmkijkers en de organisatie van LIFF worden allemaal weer kind zodra de lichten doven en de film begint.Dat magische moment, daar draait het dit jaar om op LIFF! Never Grow Up!
Sinds de oprichting in 2006 is het Leiden International Film Festival uitgegroeid tot één van de belangrijkste filmfestivals in Nederland voor films op het grensvlak van arthouse en mainstream cinema. De editie in 2013 duurde tien dagen en werd door 30.000 mensen bezocht. Het programma telde 87 films uit 23 landen, en had onder andere premières van Inside Llewyn Davis, La Grande Bellezza, Short Term 12 en The Lunchbox.Centraal op LIFF staat de American Indie Competition, waarin opkomende Amerikaanse filmmakers worden voorgesteld aan een Nederlands publiek. Deze relatief nog onbekende filmmakers zetten meestal hun eerste internationale stap op het LIFF. Na dit debuut blijken het vaak grote namen van de toekomst te worden.
