A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★[Update to review 3/12/20] The app needed to update it has been updating since last night. I have also completed a restart; a forced stop and restart of the app; restart of the tablet. Not as good as the former app
3 ★Android is one of the leading OS platforms around, and I was surprised as many others are that it took so long to get this up and running. That aside it's nice to see Fairfax Media moving forward with this, BUT there are some tings that can't come soon enough. 1. The ability to download scheduled off-line content overnight ready for the commute in the morning. I feel so out of the loop, when everyone else is ready their analogue newspaper and I can't read mine. This has to be the highest on the list given the reviews below. 2. The "to the left" or "to the right" swipe could be fine tuned so that it is less sensitive to the unsteady hand :-) twitter feeds direct to the APP for the latest news? Thanks
1 ★for the last few days, thia app seems to have lost its mind. It first appears as a thin strip of reduced version of what I nrmally see when opening The Age. Then, having opened and read one article in the 'front page', I can't get back to the front page. I just get a blank white screen with an Age banner across the top. I can only move from the first article by clicking on one of the articles following at the end. Also, the three line navigation bars, top left are either missing or reduced to two or one bar and don't work. I'm thinking I'll switch to The Guardian...
1 ★It's hard to believe that a new app could be so much poorer than the previous one. I've read many of the other reviews and the consistent response from The Age is 'improvements are coming'. Firstly, those 'improvements' existed in the previous android app, and secondly, it's been years! Don't even bother emailing them, which is another common response to reviews; I have done so several times without a single answer or acknowledgement.
1 ★Have tried to use this for two days. I just want to browse todays news and cannot. I have to do it by section and even then I keep seeing old articles. I have tried to download my paper two days in a row. It failed. The response from the age is go look up the internet. Burrowed through that, no better off. It seems I am beta testing their new system which will become compulsory in two weeks.
1 ★Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Crashes constantly, can't read offline, can't change font size, can't save articles, animated advertisements throughout articles are very distracting. What am i paying for? The old app was so much better. This one is rubbish. Now that the old app is not supported, I will be looking elsewhere. It's a shame as the Age content is generally very good.
5 ★Using the android and iPad version for quite a few years now. Very well thought out app that's intuitive and easy to use. Really like the download version as well which lets you read offline. The download version is the actual print formatted version with ads and everything. The online version is an edited/curated version very different in layout and format to the printed version and includes video in some stories as well. News is updated with breaking stories like the bushfires etc.
1 ★The Age has replace a good app with a fatally flawed one. As a user with low vision I find it necessary to enlarge the font size: the old this was easy to do but this new one it seems impossible and furthermore no apparent help in the app. I've even change font size and zoom in my device settings but the app doesn't respond. It is sad I can no longer access the Age and it's excellent journalism. Please Age think about your whole readership when designing apps - this is a poor act on your part.
1 ★I am very appreciative of the response from Fairfax to my previous words below. *** This app is appalling when compared to the functionality of the app I use on my iPad. Very disappointing. On the IPad I can see the whole paper through that app and a range of sections including editor's choice but this app from the Samsung play centre is vastly inferior - why? Please fix it.
1 ★The new Age for Android is a disgrace to Fairfax. Do NOT update. It is difficult to navigate as one sees only part of the article being read at any time surrounded by blank white screen and there is no menu bar to refer to. There used to be few ads and now there are many, which often don't load leaving blocks of blank screen, or if they do load often flash disturbingly detracting from the reading experience. Fairfax also launched the app before providing interactive crosswords or Sudoku.
1 ★I used to go through the daily news, pick the articles I was interested in and lined them up for later reading. I am not sure how to do this with this new app. Also how do I share articles or send them to my email for repeat reading? Also I can't choose which area/heading to look at, I seem to always have to scroll through? Is it me not understanding this new app? Or is this app so un-user-friendly?
1 ★Be careful buying this if you had the old app. There is some horrible disconnect that can lead you to be unable to log in to The Age. I have talked to three people at The Age - two of who told me Google was responsible. The third was helpful but couldn't solve it. I got onto Google who were helpful. In the end they cancelled and refunded my subscription, to see if the issue would resolve with a new subscription - it didn't. One month to fix or I am gone.
