Description

I use Quiver, the OSX note-taking app (http://happenapps.com/#quiver) and wanted a way to read my notes on my phone. This app does that, as well as creating and editing notes, and is stand-alone so Quiver for OSX is no longer required to use Quaver.

Supports:
- formatting, including HTML and Markdown cells
- code cells with syntax highlighting
- full display of LaTeX cells (with https://www.mathjax.org)
- display and import of images
- tagging, including renaming and deleting tags
- create and follow links between notes
- links to the web
- custom CSS
- creating new notebooks and notes
- sharing note and cell contents to other apps
- creating notes from the share menu
- searching by keyword or #tag

Like Quiver for OSX, you are in charge of figuring out how to sync the notebooks across your devices. I use Pocket Git (http://pocketgit.com).

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★The interface is a bit clunky, the app crashes when I open a notebook with 164 notes in it, and I had to install a separate app to sync my Quiver notebooks stored on my Google Drive to my phone. For a paid app I expected much higher quality work. Update, I last posted my review months ago, and the app still crashes when I open a notebook with 100+ notes in it. Unusable based on that bug alone.
5 ★This app + pocket git is the perfect workaround to Quiver's lack of android support. I do not have as many notebooks so I did not experience the crashing issue mentioned in another review. But the preview looks good, even on my phone with ridiculously magnified font. The editor needs some work (manually typing html is kind of annoying) but I can always create a cell with markdown when editing on the phone, then just convert it later once I'm on the full quiver app on my desktop. This should probably be free with an option to donate, however. Because I'd be happy to give more than the 0.99 I purchased with to ensure that this gets the love it deserves. Thanks for building this!
1 ★Worst app ever seen, wish if I could have given zero stars: You cannot add a note until you create a library, and you can never create a library...!!, then what this app is for ? I somehow managed to create a library using the "Select Quiver Library" option and created a notebook in that, but, the notebook cannot be edited...!! Every time you press the "Edit" button from within a notebook, it asks for a name and creates a new notebook...How to edit a notebook ? Thinking that this might be an issue with the quiver library location selected as a folder in the SD card, I tried changing the quiver library to a different folder inside the internal memory. After this, the app crashes on every click.
1 ★No, just no. Terrible interface, horrible sync process. A great app like Quiver deserves so much more then this.
4 ★search is not functional, always shows a blank page.
5 ★Previous crashes have been fixed very quickly. Everything now works great.
1 ★Doesn't work at all. Crashes with every click.
1 ★every time i press the + sign
5 ★Evernote fails for notes with codes and/or mathematical equations. Quiver simply solves this problem, and it is free. However opening notes in mobile devices was not an option, until now. I used Github and Pocket Git to sync my notebooks. After that quaver easily opened all my notes. For future releases, syntax coloring option may be added along with latex support. ##UPDATE## Codes are more readable with syntax highlighting, thanks to the developer.
