5 ★I always enjoy Marcus Theatre in Country club hills.
4 ★Simple and easy
1 ★This new version of the app is terrible compared to the previous version. When buying a ticket, before unavailable seats where shown in green. now its a black square if available and a gray box if occupied. Very difficult to see. Also I just tried to book seats for one time and they at the end said it was for a different time. Nor do they let you confirm everything before executing the transaction. As soon as you put in your card info, that it. It's too late. Now i have to go get refunds. Also, the apps shows conflicting seat availability. If you click a certain time you see one set of availability. If you click on say the showing prior to the first one and then advance to the next showing you see an entirely different seat availability. And before there was a section for tickets. Now to get them you have to go into your profile. Very stupid move. This may very well cause me to stop going to Marcus theaters for a very long time.
1 ★Absolute crap. Crashes. Won't let you use existing or new profiles. Totally worthless. 06/19/19. Now that the app decided to run I find that I absolutely HATE it. It is unnecessary difficult to find a nearby theater and when you do find it, it doesn't include other nearby theaters. I will literally be seeing less movies because this app is so hard to use. If I were part of designing, approving, or marketing this app I would be too ashamed to show my face in public.
3 ★This new version is nice, and makes viewing the show times quite convenient. I also like the look and feel. However, it lacks a few features in my opinion. First, if you search by zip code, it only gives you a single matching theater, instead of a list of nearby theaters. This would be convenient if you want to view showtimes in nearby theaters as well. Second, if I have a card added to my profile, I should not need to add the CVV and Zip code every single time.
1 ★New app is fine. I like the new ability to switch showtimes without having to go back and forth. Buying tickets was simple. However I'm very uncomfortable with the fact that you can go into your profile and just view your account password. A password should *NEVER* be stored in plain text or in a way that can be decrypted. Seriously. Never ever. Your developers should really know better.
1 ★The new app you're forced to use sucks. First it's very difficult to navigate and find things like member points that used to be a 1 click option. Any time you select something it will take at least 15 seconds to load if that even happens. Trying to preview or buy tickets often times it tells you the seating chart won't load and to select another show time so now I can't buy tickets to the show at the time and theater I want without having to call or use a laptop, give me a break. Test the app!!
2 ★The new app is much more convoluted. You can't buy tickets for a show that has started, even if it only started 5 minutes before. You have to go a lot further to find movies sorted by the theater near you. The way things were sorted before worked much better. Everything is cluttered and you couldn't even buy tickets on the new app after they shut the function off on the old app. Overall, BAD compared to the old app.
1 ★Marcus, seriously what are you thinking with this app?! The old one worked. So far my experience with this app has been a frustrating time waster. I wasn't able to connect my old account & couldn't get logged in with the new one I made. When looking at movies, showtimes for theaters in other states show first even though I've setup my favorites. When I'm looking at movie schedules I can't click to learn more about a movie. I have to go back several screens. Pure garbage.
3 ★Even with more options, this new app is not as user friendly as the older app was. There are too many steps to go through, just to see your rewards info, search theatres, and find specific dates and times for movies. I've also noticed that you can only see about 2-3 in advance of ticket availability, when it used to be 5-6... very disappointing.
3 ★So the CC info does not save, but u can still use Google Pay which makes it better. Now when it comes to refunds I haven't seen a way to do it yet. The reason I moved from Fandango to this app is because their app is broken, and I'm pleasantly surprised by it. Give us an option to store the money on our account if we want a refund so that we can use it later on other movies. Not being able to get a refund will make me second guess if I want to reserve a ticket or not, which means u lose money.
1 ★Installed the new app, was able to create a new user profile, (you have to do this). was able to put in my reward membership number. all seemed good, then crash after crash. app will not stay open. As soon as the opening screen go off, CRASH. Poorly written app. They obviously did not test this enough on different phones. I have a new samsung s10plus. Get this fixed. You will lose money over this.
