3 ★The app often looses its place in the book. Often when I pause the book to do something else it restarts the book at the beginning or if I'm past half way thru the book it will restart on a chapter about half way thru the book. Very very irritating to half to jump around trying to find the correct resume place. Update - I think I figured it out. Everything you change bluetooh devices it goes back to where it left off the last time connected to the device. So only use your headphone or car audio
1 ★Lack of control is frustrating. When I listen to an audio book in the car I have little control over the material in this app. When I hit the 'backward' button, it skips to the beginning of the CHAPTER. In Libby it skips back 10 seconds - which is perfect to replay a bit I missed. I'm finding I'm having to read a synopsis of the book I'm listening to just to pick up what I've missed.
2 ★I was forced to start using this app because my library switched from Overdrive/Libby. Pros: Sound is usually good. I use this in my car the most and the sound quality is very nice. Search is really good. I was able to find what I wanted quickly or see that it wasn't there. Current, History, Holds, and Saved are nice and function well Interface has potential That's it for pros Cons: Interface in portrait mode is not user friendly especially when trying to forward to a certain chapter. As I stated, I use this in my car and I usually have maps up and running as well. Maps works/looks better in portrait but this doesn't. Needs a dark mode for at night driving. Also would like a option to keep the screen on if you want. Can't rewind pass a chapter beginning to hear the end of the previous chapter. Sometime the best stuff happens at the end of a chapter and I sometimes miss it. The only way to hear it with this app is to start over at the beginning of the previous chapter and fast forward to the end and hope you don't go pass. This is very annoying. Won't automatically start playing the last book I was listening to. I don't need any extra screen clicks to get into a book. Please fix this. One time setting of the full book. It would be nice to have an option to see the chapter length. Especially when I'm trying to figure out the section that I missed because I needed to divert my full attention to traffic. Does not stop reading when GPS starts talking. This is a feature in Overdrive/Libby that you can turn on or off. This would be nice in this app as well. This has caused me to miss some of the aforementioned ends of chapters. I would love to help make this better if you would like someone to test. I'm stuck with you as my library isn't changing so lets make the best of it.
2 ★This is a decent app, but a recent update has brought it down. I listen to an audio books. If I move the play line back to replay previous chapters, the app constantly stops the playback to ask if I want to go back to the furthest read point. Interrupting the playback. A major pain in the neck when driving. Extremely irritating! If you have to ask that question, ask it once when I first move the player back. Then let me listen to the book. That is why I have this app.
3 ★The app usually stops playing audio whenever I switch to another app, or when I get calls, or if I'm using Google maps navigation and I get a verbal direction. The notification player also won't go away, even when I quit the app. The reading experience has several options for customization, though, which works nicely.
2 ★Latest update is terrible aesthetically. I miss the cute little ID card appearing above books. It made it a lot easier to quickly tell which library a book was borrowed from. Now, all I see is a card number. No sane person memorizes that! It's also using more battery. Super regret not backing up the app before the update. This is terrible!
3 ★I use regularly, comparable to other aps available through my library. Biggest issue is it is not compatible with Android Auto and Sync in my truck. Other aps can be controlled on screen, this one is still tethered or Bluetoothed forcing me to control through my phone. This often causes my spot to be lost as well, as simply turning off the truck does not stop the ap from playing as others do.
1 ★when I'm listening to audiobooks, my phone often freezes completely. it won't let me unlock my phone, and nothing else works while the playback continues. the only way out of it is to restart my phone. the notification widget is poorly designed and incredibly slow. it often ignores touch or opens the app instead, which is very slow. i wouldn't ever use this if my public library didn't make me. btw the playback won't stop when i disconnect Bluetooth.
3 ★I really enjoy this app and being able to listen to audiobooks from my local library. It can definitely use improvements like additional speed levels. Normal it a bit slow (imo) but medium is too fast. It would also be great if there was a rating system for titles more than just a single heart if you liked it. Additionally if we could search books by topic or key words that are not part of the tile or authors name. The ability to search for the book is really limited. Beyond that, it's great.
1 ★So far I've had nothing but problems. It constantly stops at random locations while listening to audio books. When I press play to continue on, it starts back at the beginning. Then I have to search to the point I was listening before it stopped. The forward and backward buttons don't function. The next/previous chapter buttons seem to work and using the clock to find my way back doesn't work either because the clock doesn't seem to sync. I'm using a Galaxy 9 Android v8.0. So frustrating!!!!
4 ★Been using this app for years. Really liked it and was easy to use. I only listen to audiobooks and they have a good selection. Only thing is, this year 2022, there was an upgrade and now the timer no longer works, which is a bummer because I usually listen to it at night and fall asleep. The book continues to play till the end now. Cloudlibrary - please fix this glitch.
3 ★I like that it is free with your library card and that they have a lot of titles, but unfortunately I have to give it a bad rating due to how frustrating it is to page. The controls are not intuitive and when you touch the page it highlights words and it is IMPOSSIBLE to unselect again. There is also a bar that appears with options for the selection and that continues to scroll with you. When paging it's really difficult to control which direction it pages so I lose my place regularly.
