Description

PAIR, SYNC AND SHARE
With Garmin Explore, you can pair your smartphone or tablet1 with your compatible Garmin device2 to sync and share data for off-grid adventures. Use downloadable maps for navigation anywhere.
• Garmin Explore needs SMS permission to allow you to receive and send SMS text messages from your Garmin devices. We also need call log permission to display incoming calls on your devices.
• Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

OFF-GRID NAVIGATION
When paired with your compatible Garmin device2, the Garmin Explore app lets you use your mobile device for outdoor navigation, trip planning, mapping, and more — with or without Wi-Fi® connectivity or cellular service.

SEARCH TOOL
Easily locate geographic points — such as trailheads or mountain summits — associated with your adventure.

STREAMING MAPS
For pre-trip planning, you can use the Garmin Explore app to stream maps when you’re within cellular or Wi-Fi range — saving valuable time as well as storage space on your mobile device. Download maps for offline use when venturing outside cellular range.

EASY TRIP PLANNING
Plan your next trip by downloading maps and creating courses. Specify your start and finish points, and automatically create a course you can sync with your compatible Garmin device2.

ACTIVITY LIBRARY
Under the Saved tab, review and edit your organized data, including your saved waypoints, tracks, courses, and activities. See map thumbnails to easily recognize your trips.

SAVED COLLECTIONS
The collections list allows you to quickly find all data related to any trip — making it easy to sort and locate the course or location you’re looking for.

CLOUD STORAGE
The waypoints, courses, and activities you’ve created will automatically sync to your Garmin Explore web account when you’re within cellular or Wi-Fi range, preserving your activity data with cloud storage. A Garmin account is required for storing your data in the cloud.

LIVETRACK™
With the use of the LiveTrack™ feature, loved ones can follow your location in real time3 and see data such as distance, time and elevation.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Lacking basic features. At minimum you should be able to click on a trail and have a course created on the selected trail. When selecting a trail, it should show an elevation map.
5 ★This device has worked in multiple states very well
3 ★please remove "mini maps" in the "all collections" tab. Just give us a easy to scroll list of collections. give us the option to load 3rd party maps like Tracks4Africa, I have T4A installed on my phone and watch, let me use it in explore, then only can we move away from basemap
1 ★Rubbish -sync failed despite working fine with Connect App -No multiple selection functions meaning organising is tedious -massive battery drain when running -elevation data is completely corrupted and incorrect -no help files meaning confusion over use of collections. Still an enigma what is synced and what isn't - IF it worked When you pay £800 for a watch you'd expect better.... Extremely disappointed
1 ★Complete let down, software updates are not safe (e.g removing landmarks and names) and will put safety at risk... Buggy as hell and what a let down by the Garmin developers!!! How do I go about getting a complete refund for my watch and subscriptions? This isn't what I paid for!
1 ★For anyone considering moving to Garmin for planning routes, do yourself a favour and get a Suunto instead. The software is rubbish. It regularly can't plot a route. Garmin is a waste of money.
1 ★Backward step on last update, now unable to plot a course as before without many detours between waypoints.
1 ★I really like the idea. However, the app is continuously crashing: first it slows down, then it starts lagging, and finally it crashes. So, it's completely unusable. Clearing the cache and data does not help. Please fix it, as it's a very promising app.
1 ★Almost always an awful experience. Had an update stuck for years that decided to install for some reason. It used to never synch before the update and now it does but now these idiots got rid of tracks it seems. I used to plan a course, keep every course I've ever done, then save a single track for each day of offline use. Now I can only see every course I've ever done on my GPS device. It seems there's no menu for just my offline maps on the device. Garmin is the worst.
