1 ★Clunky, counterintuitive and confusing. WAY too many settings notifications and others that can't be turned off, terrible interface design and awful, intrusive and irrelevant "Notices" and other garbage content that just gets in the way. This app should be dumped - look elsewhere for better solutions. If the developer has to refer people to the BAND Guide, something is really wrong.
5 ★Great app--has essentially transformed our group's communication. Feature request: Please allow toggling the visibility of calendars within a Band. If we have multiple calendars created for different purposes, it would be nice to be able to declutter the agenda view by hiding events from irrelevant calendars. Also, please let us specify an individual calendar (when there are multiple) from a specific band when we are creating a widget. Thank you, developers!
4 ★I love this app! As a dance studio owner we previously used a Facebook page, Team App and What's App to cater to our needs, but Band does it all and my life is simplified now. The only thing I wish Band did was on the post section, display the a full photo like on a Facebook wall (not a thumbnail image to click on). We often use pictures (like a poster) to advertise up coming events and reminders as our parents look at these more than just words. I find they don't click to open the tiny images.
5 ★This app took a great deal of time getting used to but everything is a lot more accessible from the home tab where you can see the chats the newsfeed and notifications. The calendar has really been very beneficial but I have not used voice chat. I do like the privacy options because I hate sharing my phone number but still love being able to stay connected with everyone within our group. The polls and statistics really makes my goals a lot easier to get accomplished.
1 ★This is a horrible app. I do not get notifications on my phone, and yes I do have the app set to push notifications for everything to my phone, we frequently miss updates and schedule changes and show up late, early or to the wrong location because of recent changes to schedule that we don't know about because the app shows no notification. Groupme app shows notification always and can send text messages to a phone without even installing the app, it is a way better option.
5 ★I use this app to manage my dance fitness class communications with my students. Very easy to set up and integrates well with Google calendar. It automatically notifies my subscribers of schedule changes or special events. Love how easy it is for even the novice mobile phone or desktop user to receive push alert and be able to message back that they received it.
1 ★Notifications still show up after viewing and replying to a message then closing the app. Annoying self promotion "notices" constantly show up. Can't get rid of the notification about the new streaming feature. Have been using the app for a year with friends to chat and just want to use it how we use it without all the extra self promotion. Have changed the setting in your reply twice with no effect. Newest update repeats any link group members share 2-4 times. Things getting worse not better.
5 ★This group organization app is set up as a social media feed much like Facebook. It provides many features that you can't get from other apps like it and can easily sync to a Google calendar. So that you wouldn't have to reenter all your info. They are also always looking to improve and are open to feedback and user generated features.
1 ★Read the app description and wow, such a cool idea! Read the reviews, nah, that won't happen to me. Download, sign up... well... TRY to sign up. It is not working. Small icon keeps spinning as I try to set up an account and then continues to say 'Please connect to a network'. Well I can confirm I AM connected, always to a network. Pity. Sounds like an app I would consistently use. May give it a few weeks & download again to see if the kinks are worked out. Until then, uninstalling. Good luck.
5 ★App worked great for a few months. I was able to connect with all my groups however, in the past few weeks I have not been able to get on the app. It won't even load. The only way I can get in is by checking a notification and once I've done that, I can't go to the home page. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Please help. I love the app when it's in working condition. UPDATE!! App has started working back to normal. I'm able to get in, see messages, posts and comment on all again!!
1 ★Seems as if my original review was deleted....interesting. I see that Band reported server issues on 6/3/19. Four days later, 6/7/19, I am still unable to open the app. After uninstalling and reinstalling, I am unable to login due to "network" issues (no other apps having problems). This is the case on both my personal and my work device. It's unacceptable for this to still be a problem 4 days later.
5 ★I think this app is well-suited for sharing with and communicating with a group of people. The features on here are very useful for receiving feedback from other teammates. I used this app to work on a group comic, and the fact that half our team was in another state made no difference. I recommend at least trying the app out if you're on the fence. It's a great, free app for organization.
