1 ★unable to sign up as I just get the loading page and nothing else. great idea, poorly executed. Now I have been handed a leaflet to say I have to sign up or my club card will not work anymore after june 2019. Not happy when I cant use the app and I have been a loyal customer for 3 years. Please sort this out or i will just go else where.
3 ★I use the Fill Up & Go feature and saves me time when filling up but i don't understand why the pump stops before it fills up the tank with the exact amount I have requested and authorised in the app but always short by about £1.30. Also, I camnot see the receipts for the Fill Up & Go in my list of rececpts and have to look in 2 different places for FU&G receipts and cash. A single place to view all transactions will be great and easy to monitor. Not all station supported and cannot use abroad.
3 ★Confused with the forced use of the app. All Petrol Station Forecourts ask you to turn you mobile phone off when on the forecourt. So to pay and collect points you first have to sit in your car, turn off your phone, get out of the car, walk into the shop, once in the shop turn phone back on, wait the normal 5 minutes for the phone to boot up, find a data signal, load app, collect points from the till and pay for fuel. Don't forget to turn off your phone again before you leave the shop.
3 ★Great when it works as avoids having to queue in the shop to pay for petrol. However the last few times months app failed informing me that there are technical issues and telling me to go into the shop, resulting in me standing there at the pump faffing about with the app wasting time. I'll give it another chance, but if it doesn't work next time I will uninstall as the app will be useless to me.
3 ★It's a bit unreliable. Be prepared to arrive at a filling station to find that the app won't display your bar code. You'll hold up a queue while you try shutting down and restarting the app, which may work. You might find on another occasion, like today, that it fires up and says "let's get started", "join the loyalty scheme". So you try to log in again, with that queue forming behind you, so embarrassing. Then, after watching the twiddly icon going round for ever, you forego your points.
1 ★Not great. Tried to use this to pay at Shell garages a couple of times. Both times it took quite a long time to navigate through to the payment screen and then found out the garage didnt support the app anyway. Wasted time. Plus some confusing drivel around topping up in preset amounts. Just charge what people use. Other fuel provider's apps are much more intuitive and actually let you pay in their stations.
3 ★I have been a customer for many years, a few years ago I obtained a shell points card. All ok so far. Then it was changed to the new "go" card. It has now evolved to an app code. For some reason I cannot get the login code on my phone, an iphone 6 with 5G. Well it looks like i'm going to have to change to Texaco or another fuel that gives a reward scheme. Shame but there it is. V Power was very good.
2 ★It only seems to work about 50% of the time for me - on other occasions the app comes up with an error message, or just freezes part way through the process. By this time, the person behind has already fuelled, and I end up delaying them from getting out while I go into the shop to pay. It's a great idea in principle, great when it works.....but it doesn't work often enough. Introduction should have been postponed until the technology could be made more robust. Reviews of other fuel company's similar schemes suggest the situation is pretty much the same there.
2 ★Used twice at 2 different Shell stations, scanned my card but no visits show on the app. The £2 promo wasnt working either and as the visits didnt register I didnt get my 3% shell energy discount either. There is no help or recourse, or even ability to add via a receipt. May as well not bother and go to a cheaper station. The 2 stars are for app design and usability which is ok. Obvs its the related backend systems that arent good enough.
4 ★App/process tells me how much I've spent at the pump but insists on pre-authing a previously agreed (guessed) amount and refunding later; surely in this tech age we can charge "just enough"? The app itself is ok, a little slow, keen to show you ads when all I want to do is launch quickly, scan a pump and get filling. Delays are almost undermining the point of pay at pump! oh and not available for motorbikes. tescos manage pay at pump. When will _true_ NFC pay at pump services be available?
1 ★Apparently, the app is broken, it gets stuck at the car plate input everytime im trying to register my new ClubSmart card. That being said, it took me couple weeks to get this card alone, as the personnel at my local Shell gas station were not aware of the very existance of such a program. I am trying to use the app in Turkey.
1 ★New app a nightmare. Refused to recognise my account; no help but a telephone number, then locks out. Bank payment still said the maximum value when other apps (such as BP) reimburse immediately. Woulf raise complaint, not help doesn't tell me how. Bad experience. Needs a professional overhaul or roll-back in my opinion. It's also really unclear whether you're going to automatically send me a Shell Go+ card. Tell Shell in App fails too. A dire start to the new rewards system
