5 ★I had the best experience with this app! I used it to get birth control i dont have insurance so its so expensive with out it. My clinician was helpful fun and knowledgeable. She discussed my options with me and got me set up on whats best for me. Three months of pills shipped to my door for $75 dollars. She said it would take 4-7 days to ship and i got it in 2 days! i was hesitant at first to use the app but it was easy and convenient! I recommend it highly!
5 ★Seems to be pretty user-friendly so far. I'm in the process of getting a prescription and it has gone really smoothly. My only complaint (and really it's not a complaint, more of a small annoyance) is that when you exit out of the app and later need to open it again, you are signed out and thus must sign back in to communicate with the physician or to manage your account. But I'm very impressed with how this process is going and how well the app works. Fast turnaround time.
1 ★Currently there is no way to request re-authorization of an existing Rx, and the app is useless if you have insurance. There is no way to indicate continuous use of birth control pills. You can't decline mailorder or have your Rx sent to a pharmacy. It was explained to me that their first priority is expanding access to birth control and that maybe down the road they'll implement those features. But as of now, don't bother with PPDirect if you have insurance and/or take the pill continuously.
1 ★I wish this app worked like it supposed to. But it doesn't. I keep getting tested like I want a 30 day prescription of painkillers on a 6 year old ankle injury. I'm just trying to get some birth control but between this app and the actual office it has been a 3 month struggle to no avail. I feel like a druggie and ignored.
4 ★It was a little buggy after the update, but after a fresh install, it is back to working how it should. I work 70+ hours a week and don't have time to make medical appointments, this got my bc to me conveniently and discreetly in the mail, and all without having to take time off work to go in. They even sent some extras to make sure I was covered in the inbetween times for starting a new series, so thoughtful. I highly recommend this service to any woman who has big plans and very little time.
5 ★I've used this app twice now to refill my birth control prescription. Cheap, easy, and very well programmed. I haven't run into a bug, the notifications are discrete and let me know i have a message waiting. The clinicians I've been connected to are very professional and help answer questions I have. Very very happy PP has this as a service. Its been a great tool during the pandemic.
5 ★Thank you!!! This app is easy to use, well-designed, and you really can have birth control ordered in mere hours. That's absolutely incredible. I haven't had a period in sixteen months because of PCOS and stress, but I'm too paranoid to go to the doctor during a pandemic and my work insurance started in April. I figured I was out of luck. I absolutely cannot believe I can finally have some peace of mind about it.
5 ★Pretty easy to get a refill of exactly what I needed. And very cost efficient. The only thing I would say could be improved is my camera kept crashing when trying to take the required photo to be uploaded. I scanned some reviews and read that it was recommended to try using the rear facing camera instead. Worked like a charm. Pills have been shipped and should be here in 3 days. I highly recommend this app if you are in a pinch.
1 ★It won't let you confirm text or email because it will constantly redirect you and send you new confirmation numbers. It won't let me book or even view any appointments because it just redirects me to a new window of the same exact content. You guys see how many low ratings this has and yet it's the only "way" to book an appointment. Obviously PP doesn't care, might as well stop funding this if they won't let us use it.
5 ★Just got through with a video chat appointment with a doctor to refill my prescription. This is so much easier and more convenient than going in person with my schedule atm. The doctor was extremely nice, and I'm so glad this exists. I was surprised how good the video call quality was. Can't say enough good things about this app and Planned Parenthood!
5 ★Not only one of the cheapest options for mailed birth control, but one of the easiest! It only took about 5 days from order to delivery to get to me. The package and charge on my bank account were both discrete as well. Besides birth control, the app also offers services for UTI medication and lets you check any appointments you may have at one of their health centers. I can't reccomend this app enough!
5 ★I pay less using this app than seeing my PCP for an office visit. The simple UI is great. Ran into a slight issue the the photo upload, but restarting the app worked. Also if you are working on a "virtual visit" your progress is saved, so you can resume anytime. It took about 12 hours for my prescription to be approved and sent to my pharmacist. This app and the services are fantastic. Please donate to Planned Parenthood ♥️
