A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★The hardware design is great and very easy to install in existing blinds. The software, at least on Android, leaves a lot to be desired. Scheduling doesn't work consistently, pairing with blinds is an exercise in patience, and none of the blinds will update the firmware from the factory installed version. Integration or support for existing software solutions such as wink or smarthings would have been a better route as having yet another disparate solution to control a single device in a smarthome fails
1 ★The hardware install is simple and seems well made. The software does not work. The blind would not pair with my android phone or tablet. I would recommend that before you install the hardware in a blind that you connect the switch, the motor unit and the battery and test it before installing it in the handrail to see if you can pair it to your phone/tablet. Whatever you do, don't cut the string because then the is no going back. I bought one unit to test before I bought 6 more. Good thing I did.
4 ★Awesome at first now it's not great. Somewhere along the way an update to the app ruined it. However MySmartBlinds has hired a full time employee to fix the android app and he's getting close to releasing a new version. The IOS app is working REALLY well and if you have access to an idevice it will fix just about all your problems. Connect and update your blinds with ios until they get the bugs out of android. Update: just now uninstalled and reinstalled this app and it works a lot better for some reason.
1 ★App was ok at first, but after months of app updates, blinds still won't update firmware and one blind is no longer recognized. Contacted support and was told to use apple ios to control/update the blinds or control them manually. That's completely unacceptable, as I don't own anything Apple, and poor business practices when products being sold as a android compatible product for wireless control of blinds.
3 ★Okay, I think I have it figured out. If you already have a blind and want to install a new one in the same room, it will not allow you to do so UNLESS you recalibrate the existing already set and and working shade. I've been trying for three days to install a new shade with no success. It finds the shade but searches non stop until my phone battery dies. In desperation I tried recalibrating the old shade. It then allowed me to install the new one.
3 ★UPDATE: Had to recalibrate a few times and Uninstaller and reinstall and it now finally works.---OLDER REVIEW: It works with calibrating, it works with identifying, but once you try to use it to do anything else it doesn't work. It won't open or close my blinds after multiple calibrations.
1 ★The blinds don't always follow the schedule. I can't always adjust the blinds from the app so I walk over and adjust them manually instead. The firmware requires you to stay in the update screen the whole time (about 30 mins per blind per update) or it will fail the update, I have spent a few hours updating the 2 blinds I have but can't get past the 1.3 update. I know new products take a while to perfect so I will adjust my rating over time and hope the bumps gets ironed out.
2 ★Still can't update firmware from 1.3 to 1.5. Animated progress bar keeps running but upload immediately fails.
5 ★Got my blinds working... easier than I originally thought. (C clip is in plastic bag)... app did crash once and I did have a bit of a time pairing but overall, great experience! Now we need a widget.
5 ★Easy install and app operation makes for a useful and powerful automation tool. Great design of both the product and the app that controls the devices. Highly recommended.
2 ★After Android last updated, this app quit working. You will have to use iPhone to set up and install your blinds. Once that's done you can use the Android app to open and close them. BUT, whatever you do, DO NOT hit "Reset Your Blinds." If you do you will have to do a hard factory reset which means you have to take down your blinds to do so. You will also have to start over from the very beginning with the iPhone app.
