Leimonias is opgericht in 1888 en is daarmee een van de oudste tennisverenigingen van Nederland. Er zijn circa duizend leden. Het is een vereniging met traditionele waarden én de ambitie om aan de top te willen tennissen. Leimonias speelt al meer dan 130 jaar in de hoogste regionen van de nationale competitie en heeft de meeste landskampioenschappen op haar naam staan. De club is gevestigd op ‘Klein Zwitserland’ omringd door hoge bomen en een door Berlage ontworpen slotenplan. Er wordt wel gezegd dat Leimonias het mooiste park van Nederland heeft.
