Description

NaloxoFind enables anyone to find Naloxone carriers in an Emergency. Naloxone (commonly known under the brand Narcan or Evzio) when administered quickly after an opioid overdose can significantly reduce or stop the effects of the opioids.

Using naloxone is not a substitute for emergency medical care. Always get emergency medical care during an overdose or suspected overdose.

NaloxoFind lets users register as carriers or use the app to find carriers in an emergency. If a carrier is nearby they will be alerted when any nearby naloxone request is made. The app allows carriers to quickly see where the emergency is and get directions using their smartphone. If the requestor has entered their phone number (usually done on app install, prior to the emergency) the naloxone carrier will also receive the number and can call the requestor.

NaloxoFind is currently in an open beta period until there are enough carriers registered in each area to support finding Naloxone in an emergency.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★You might as well take this off of the Google play store because it is NOT compatible with any Android on the current software release. The app gets stuck in "Naloxofind Location Mode" and shows the two options but you cannot navigate to any other screen and you cannot choose the preferred location method. Whoever coded this has less training in software development than my 3 year old niece smh. Try putting a little more effort into the development. This could be a life changing and saving app.
5 ★Perfect. I had a bit of trouble getting my barcode entered but they emailed back very quickly and it was messed up on my end not theirs. Amazing service. Wonderful idea. Love this app!!!
1 ★Not a useful app. It appears that the only way you can register as a nalonoxe/narcan carrier is if you are using a brand that has the right type of barcode. I carry the intermuscular and the app won't read the barcode. Very unfortunate. I'm trained to administer and to train others how to use naloxone/narcan.
5 ★Whoever made this app is genious. Especially for how bad the over dose rates are skyrocketing. It also helps people ask for help during an overdose. Some people refuse to ask or call for help because they are afraid of the trouble they could get in rather than worrying about a life. I am a registered holder and hope to see many more offer to be there to help others in their time of need.
5 ★This is a GREAT App which I wish more people would use to help others. There are countless 1st responders who could help people in an emergency situation when off duty. I applaud the dev team for creating this app in a time when it's most needed. Any questions about how to help your community or how to carry life saving Naloxone please speak with your local pharmacy, doctor, or the developers.
1 ★tried to register, refused to identify my prescription. how can we help if we cannot register? 5 of my friends tried to register and had the same issue and gave up. sad.
2 ★It's not compatible with my device??? It's a Note 5. I'm not sure why this app isn't compatible. I think it's a great idea but it has to be available to everyone. I hope it gets fixed. If it does I will participate. I DO carry Narcan/nalxone UPDATE! I upgraded to a Note 9 and my phone is now compatible with the app and I am registered!
5 ★What an amazing idea this will save so many lives
1 ★No nalaxone found in downtown Chicago, with multiple MAT programs in the area. Not up to date.
5 ★More people need to know about and use this app!
3 ★It wont recognize my bar code.
5 ★Amazing idea!
