Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Library reading
1 ★Absolute garbage
1 ★If its supposed to be available to android users, why can I not find help ANYWHERE? Surely the library website, or yours, or adobes would have some sort of help for android users with new tabs. But noooo, if your an android, your screwed! Please, what the heck am I supposed to do? No matter what I try, it won't let me sign in for once, says that my account isn't authentic, and when I skip the process, even though I have 2 books downloaded, I can't see them anywhere! What am I doing wrong? Am I stupid? Or is there a real problem here? Better rating if you help out.
2 ★So many times I've gone to renew a subscription only to be told to redownload from the My Downloads list. Okay cool except that the option doesn't exist--it only says expired. Sucks getting halfway through a book then having to wait for the system to recycle itself. Hate that taxpayer money went to fund this travesty of an app.
1 ★I actually got it to download a book, which was not easy. However it constantly and obtrusively connects to Internet to verify the book as I'm trying to read. No using this on a plane or a long car ride. Overdrive, Kindle, Nook are much better choices. It's only advantage is that it had titles that I'd been waiting forever to get on Overdrive. Probably because people are fed up with trying to get this mess to work. Definitely suggesting my library not continue with this e-lending option.
5 ★Freading has been a great addition to our library. We had a few issue in the beginning but it is working great now. Most of our patron are using it on the Kindle Fire HD or tablets. I also use it on my my Android phone. It's great to have while waiting for an appointment. One of the things I like about it is the fact that you don't have to wait to check out the books. They can be checked out by multiple users. I'm the technology manager at a small library and it is affordable alternative to some of the more expensive services out there.
1 ★Piece of crap. Where the %$&**- is my downloaded and REloaded book? Nothing in library, takes me back to recommended books screen over and over. Worthless. Can I give it minus stars? -10 at least. Tried again. Totally worthless. Download title u can't access
1 ★Cross platform apps that do not hold state correctly should be an embarrassment. I'm sorry my library has switched to this.
4 ★Had some problems under 4.4.4, and, until a few days ago, did not run under 5.0.1. So far, now seems fine.
1 ★On my Nexus 5 it takes over PDF downloads. Once I try to open a PDF it will redirect to this app where it will not open. Its been a problem since KitKat and it continues to be a problem on Lollipop.
1 ★This app is not easy to use, it works sometime but mostly not. Website needs improvements when browsing books from a search. FAQs and help are poor.
1 ★I'd rather buy a book than try and use this app to read it. So much to dislike, nothing to love.
