Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Can't get pairing to work or direct link. Tried with two phones and two different wifi networks. Pointless.
1 ★Can only get a connection with my old Samsung galaxy S2. My current phone (Sony Xperia Z2) cannot connect to ikettle network, and can't even connect after setting up with SGS2. So the ikettle is just an expensive kettle. Nice kettle though, but not smart in any way, so app is very poor (maybe just not updated to work with any device newer than 2011?)
1 ★Can't get it work, tried everything, reset it a million times. CAN YOU PLEASE SORT OUT YOUR ANDROID APP!!
1 ★Device cannot be found on network.. Yes it does, just not from android devices. Seems to work fine with my wife's iphone... So far..
4 ★Works well 99% of the time. Lacks the customisation that the iPad version has of which an update has been released today, but no sign of an android update yet.
1 ★Confirmed to me by tech support. Says it all really! Pretty expensive for a standard kettle
3 ★Ordered the kettle in Oct 2013. Still waiting. Any more news on the release date? UPDATE : we finally got this in Feb 2014 and 6 months later we have had to send it back for a replacement (all fell apart). Luckily ikettle replaced It free of charge but firebox (who we purchased it from) ignored ALL our emails. Even the review we submitted to their site wasn't approved (wonder why!). All in all the replacement seems better quality but DONT BUY IT FROM FIREBOX! App itself is very glitch on the note2.
1 ★Good home WiFi, yet it hardly ever connects. Also, my kettle lid is hardened plastic, and has melted in 6 months.
3 ★Go into your network settings and connect to ikettle network. Open app and set up a direct link. Then go back into your network settings and connect to your home network. Go back to the app and in the setting reset up a new connection this time using the top reccomended option. Works on Virgin Media fine..
1 ★Worst app ever. Refuses to connect to iKettle during setup, even when my phone is connected to the iKettle WiFi network. £100 kettle = useless brick. Avoid at all costs.
1 ★The kettle is great BUT will NOT connect via Android! Tried for hours but no joy at all. I'm using Galaxy S6 edge so all up to date yet no joy. This needs sorting
1 ★Gutted I had to give this app (and kettle) 1☆ but cant give less. It just simply doesn't work...concept flawed in first place and implementation equally bad. DO NOT BUY if you already have I am sorry you didn't read this earlier. The kettle will not stay visible on the network and as others have said you cant close the app without killing it ... which results in the kettle disappearing from the network and connection being lost. Useless
