This is a Minimalistic client for Matrix with fewer permissions and featuresIt is a fork of the open-source Riot.im Android client. Source code : https://github.com/LiMium/mini-vector-android
This fork just trims away the following features and dependencies:
* Jitsi integration (for audio / video conference)
* React native libraries
* Application Icon badger
* Analytics
Consequently, the app is smaller and needs fewer permissions. The major missing feature is video conferencing via Jitsi meet.
Branding from Riot.im app has been removed so as to:
* reduce confusion for the user
* avoid trademark conflict
