Description
A mobile device with internal barometric sensor can work as an altimeter, applying the method used in aviation instruments. This app computes altitude from the entered base pressure and the sensor data, showing the result on a digital or three-pointer dial indicator.Automatic adjustment uses altimeter settings in weather observation data downloaded from NOAA site.
Altitude information from satellite navigation systems is not used by this app.
Barometric sensors in many devices are not calibrated. In this case, sensor reading correction must be configured in the app settings.
Sensitive Altimeter is absolutely free, it will not display ads or collect personal data. Internet connection is used only for station database update and downloading weather observation data.
