2 ★Would love to give it five stars as the content is very good. Problem is the ads. I had noticed they had greatly increased. Then along came adverts for All 4 plus. Surprise surprise a subscription app that gets rid of the ads! Considering All 4's biggest tag line is "The biggest free streaming service in the UK " not on.
4 ★All in all I'm happy. The shows play fine. Quite often the "back" arrow does not return to the homepage but to some previous point in the show or even a previous episode and then my show list has two episodes from the series. The advert breaks can be odd: generally ok, but sometimes there's the sponsor end bit, a second or two of the next part of the show, then the adverts; sometimes the break happens with the sponsor's end bit, no ads, then their start bit and then the show (which is nice).
5 ★Fantastic service, easy to use and I never miss my favourite shows
1 ★can't believe the state of this app. the first time I used it went perfectly, signed into the family account and was able to watch one (1) episode of Taskmaster without issue. second time however? at first while I was looking at shows the app was continually closing after maybe a minute of scrolling. then I got automatically signed out and when I try to log in again this pile of utter dogshit dressed as an app acts as if I never put any details in at all. cant even make a new account either.
5 ★Works perfectly. I can catch up with shows I can't always watch during the week. Can add shows to my list. Not too many adds. I'm happy.
5 ★My opinion compared to other UK channels' OD/ streaming services... All4 is THE UK streaming platform with own productions always available. (Unless they've been sold on, eg Black Mirror to Netflix...) With the paying option, I don't even have to endure the advertising. (3-4 advertising blocks per hour at up to 3.5mins each on more recent productions - were still worth it though.) The handling is intuitive and I've never had buffering or latency issues...
5 ★Very reliable streaming software. Just like iPlayer really. Work well when casting to a Chromecast, easy enough to find what you want with a good catalogue of shows to watch. Advert breaks are a bearable length. It sometimes gets stuck when going into advert breaks and you have to re-load the show, but it's pretty rare.
1 ★I pay to get no adverts, but still the programmes are crashingly interrupted by crass ads. It's bad enough that C4 are taking money off me but not fulfilling their contract (no ads) but they can't even get them in the right place. I started watching The West Wing, which has US breaks in scenes so they can squeeze in ads, but C4 ignores those and drops in ads in the middle of conversations.
5 ★Handy and easy to use. I don't mind the ads as they are so short but couldn't Graham and Brown produce a series of adds so we could view a lot more of their exciting wallpaper range? The add is novel but becomes repetitive after a while....
5 ★Great App. Everything works well for me. Some great shows to watch, in particular 'It's a Sin' and the 'Coroner' series one is brilliant. All 4 is one of my favourite Apps to watch great drama.
1 ★Sadly it's stopped working since the March update. It just sat on the 4 logo screen so I've deleted and reloaded. I now get an error telling me to check my connection when trying to log in. When i try to register i get an error saying i already have an account. As an app it's now totally useless.
2 ★It plays videos, so it deserves some stars, but the latest playback UI is close to non-functional, so it only gets two from me. The display is only updated if for instance the app is backgrounded and restored. Even then the slider doesn't update to match progress (except maybe after breaks).
