1 ★Since updating to the current version, I can't log in. I get an error saying, "Something's wrong. If you are using an app, please start over." I have no problem using the previous version on a different android device. Phone support kept sending me to a different team, in circles,with no helpful suggestions.
3 ★After this app was updated, I lost the ability to see all my recorded programs; I have contacted their technical support and they tell me they're working on this problem. That ability to see all recorded programs was taken away; they shouldn't have this much of a problem renewing this benefit; it's been four (4) months and still no resolution.
1 ★PAINFULLY SLOW on a brand new TCL Q750G TV running Google Home OS. I've been waiting for an opportunity to finally ditch my Roku Ultra and Fire TV 4k Max but after upgrading my TV to a brand new one with a fast processor, it is the slowest app in existence. My TV runs Disney, Paramount and all the other apps flawlessly. Not Directv Stream! In menus it is so slow I can count to 10 before it will bring the guide up and I can count to 10 again before it will allow me to move the cursor. 0 stars
1 ★New app will not open. I reset my password twice and still can not be recognized to log in to open the app. The old app at least worked. Edit: The scripted advice sent in response to my review is useless. My user ID is recognized, but I am forced to change my password to login. Then my new password is not recognized. This is a program error, not an operator error. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!
1 ★When you pause your show, even for a few seconds, it plays very aggressive advertising. I'm using a DirecTV streaming box and paying for the streaming service, which is not cheap. Now I suddenly have to fight off a seizure (only a slight exaggeration) because I need to check my text messages? Shame on you, DTV! Get rid of these gratuitous and inappropriate advertisements NOW, or lose your paying customers.
3 ★Good for the most part except: -It loses my playback location when I'm watching on demand videos. For example, I locked my phone for 2 minutes and when I unlocked it again, my movie started playing back from the very beginning. -The on demand section mixes in stuff that's not included in your subscription. Please make an option to show only available content. -More ads than any other streaming service I've used.
2 ★DVR is not good. Regularly crashes during DVR replay. Unlike the old Uverse DVR, it doesn't offer the option to record beyond a shows scheduled end time. I regularly miss the end of rpograms that have overrun because the DVR doesn't have this option available. Also not happy that they region lock certain channels while I am travelling, despite the fact I am supposed to get those channels and pay for them.
5 ★I give this 3 stars because I can log in and play shows. I downloaded and installed 2 previous times and I couldn't even log in so this is an improvement. May upgrade rating if app continues to work. I've used this app for a few days. It works perfectly. No buffering at all. App doesn't need wifi. It works fine just using phone internet. Pause and play are a little tricky. You have to tap at top of pause lines and at top of play triangle. My phone is a moto g with 128g of on board memory.
1 ★There is a sound issue that only affects the direct tv stream app on roku. There are numerous web pages complaining about the issue and Direct TV offers the same troubleshooting tips that don't help. No matter what I do, the sound doesn't sync to the show I'm watching. Its terrible. Definitely going to find another streaming service
1 ★Trash it took att years to finally chath on to streaming, charge way to much for everything but supply the minimum, y'all app keeps freezing up and shutting down. Trash company and not worth the price when there's so many other great apps playing better movies and shows for FREE and can stream without a problem. Att is a rip off at best.
1 ★This app is absolutely useless. Your website states "the DIRECTV app gives you the flexibility to watch anywhere anytime". This is misleading as the programing available is extremely limited. When I select the programing guide, the channels available are very few, in particular, live programing. I cannot access local channels and/or cable news networks like Newsmax, for example, as I watch on my tv. I believe the app should allow access to all programing included in the package subscription.
1 ★Won't let me login to my account so what's the point of having it. Update to AT&T Services: I've been dealing with this issue on & off for weeks. All of your suggestions have been tried & have all failed. And before you asked, I have spoken to AT&T "support" and they were completely unhelpful. I'm already pricing other streaming services. Directv costs way too much anyway.
