Il percorso collega l'Eremo di Santo Stefano di Quisquina con il Santuario di Monte Pellegrino, attraverso un cammino percorribile a piedi, in bici o a cavallo
Il cammino si snoda su una già presente rete di sentieri realizzati dall'Amministrazione Regionale Siciliana ed è costituito da regie trazzere, mulattiere, sentieri e strade ferrate dismesse.
Lungo circa 185 km, l’Itinerario di Santa Rosalia attraversa 14 Comuni, il Parco dei Monti Sicani, riserve e aree naturali e immerge il pellegrino in una realtà di paesaggi, natura, cultura, tradizioni, arte e sapori
