La storia di numerosi Istituti di Credito che, nel corso del XX secolo, hanno collezionato opere d’arte, non dimenticando la loro origine. Il territorio nativo delle Banche è lo stesso che ha dato vita alle vicende di artisti esemplari, radicati in quel medesimo territorio.
Non esistono capolavori assoluti, solo capolavori relativi. Con questa asserzione torniamo alla storia italiana, moltiplicata nei suoi magnifici, infiniti campanili. Anche la storia dell’arte è una storia regionale e si è adattata alle vicende particolari emerse dagli andamenti sinuosi delle civiltà particolari che l’hanno prodotta.
