1 ★Auto mode doesn't seem to work. And this app hasnt been updated since 2018.
2 ★I love the idea but the auot mode and even the manual mode are seriously broken. They see a box but then they cut out important information from the boogie board that's inside that box. Then, if you try to retake the picture, it doesn't retake, it just shows the last picture taken. Very bad programming.
1 ★App takes poor quality photos of the board. Most of the photos capture reflections of light and things in the background. When trying to retake the photo you have to completely close out of the photo mode or it shows the previous photo taken on the edit page. This app needs some serious work, its a brilliant idea. Just terrible execution.
2 ★So I'm surprised these are sold in many chains. What a terrible storage method. Using a Galaxy Note 10 with a great camera still yields terrible quality captures and the crop function is useless.
2 ★I am willing to accept the blame for making a silly purchase, but I feel the wording on the packaging is a bit misleading. It says you are able to "scan your creation" and "save it", which is apparently their long winded way of saying you take a picture of it. It's pretty explicit about using the camera in the fine print, of course, so shame on me for neglecting to read the part where they explain why this product is almost useless to an adult. Cool idea, way too pricey for what it does.
1 ★So I bought the boogie board and it works great. The app however is lacking. Very lacking. It is literally better to just take a regular picture than use it. It cuts off the top and bottom quarters of what I write. The quality is nearly illegible.
2 ★While boogie board is understandably spartan in features, it's companion app does nothing to compensate, instead it provides such a limited capabilities to edit or categorize content that I end up using stock android app to do so instead. App feels like an afterthought in what could'be been a great product
5 ★This is the best app! It's like having a note pad on your phone without all the typing it in on the keyboard. I like having all the notes I can see and then click on one to edit or remove. I got rid of my other note pads and use this because it's so quick and handy. And you can draw pictures and other things. THANKS!
2 ★It doesn't "scan" the screen, it photographs it in black and white. Sadly, there is a lot of speckles to clean up to have a nice clean image. It is cool that the crop feature allows you to change the shape of the markings/text but that's it.
5 ★Don't understand what people are doing wrong, downloaded this app 3ish hours ago while looking at boogie board products. My roommate has the jot so after deciding which board I would like I grabbed the jot from the kitchen. First scan was meh but second, third, forth and so on (22 images total pics and writing at different sized) every one was crystal clear. Honestly looks like notes written on paper. To those down rating the app like they are I have to say you didn't try very hard!
1 ★So given this app is designed to implement the "save" function of the lcd writing tablet, the implementation is poor. i couldn't make auto mode work, and the crop function is awkward to use and takes more off the image than I selected! also the inage resolution is too low and would view better in gray-scale.
