Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Stop recording sleep and heart rate. I tried restarting it and everything else everyone suggested. But no luck. I'm very disappointed by this watch.
3 ★The app stopped working a week or so ago - meaning the device itself is a useless piece of junk around one's wrist without the app. That is - you're unable to check any stats nor receive notifications if the app cannot send sensor data for number-crunching to MS Health services. And for that you need to be logged in. Apparently some user accounts (including mine) got somehow corrupted and I cannot log in even directly onto MS Health Dashboard. I tried creating new one with a different email and the app logged in just fine. Not sure how to contact MS to fix my acc as I want to retain all the historical data?
5 ★March 29 2017 - the Band does not work on lg g5 on Nougat but DOES work on Nexus 6 on Nougat. So it is not a band issue; it is a phone issue. Still love using it every day, for sleep tracking, exercise tracking, steps etc.
5 ★Love it. The problem is that because the Band 2 has been discontinued, there will soon be no way to use it. Can't you allow other hardware (Garmin, Android 2.0 watches, etc.) to connect?
3 ★For pete's sake, I know you guys have given up on the band as a whole, but it wouldn't kill you guys to create app updates so it works better. Does the app work? Yes. Does it work well? no. Yeesh. There still are people using the band, MS.
5 ★I loved this device too bad no one caught on. App was updated per request. Band 2 had everything without having to have phone present for exercise and awesome display. App didn't require Band for basics.
2 ★Abysmal - fails to sync, needs phone reboot every time. Not just force stop the app.
2 ★It would be a 5 star app, but MS health dashboard is offline for more than a week now and the app cannot start and sync. MS Band would be a perfect fitness tracker but now it is useless.
1 ★Used to work. Doesn't anymore... That is all you need to know. Update: It is now several months later. Still not working. At this point, Microsoft should be refunding anyone who purchased the Band.
1 ★It's getting worse. It used to consume all my battery but now crashes all the time. It's making my band unusable. I have ordered a gear fit. Such a shame
1 ★Since nougat update the app freezes regularly and my phone says the app is causing the phone to slow down. Happened on my Galaxy S6 and it is the same on my new Galaxy S7. Hoping microsoft will update the app despite having discontinued the band, as my band is still in warranty.
5 ★Has nice detailed workout break down. Sleep tracking feature is great. New update now collates steps taken from my phone too. So now even if I am not wearing my band my activity is tracked!
