This app uses Accessibility Service Permission for optional gesture of screen lock and recent apps view.
Microsoft Launcher asks for the following optional permissions:
· Microphone: Used for speech-to-text functionality for Launcher features, such as Bing Search, Bing Chat, To Do, and Sticky Notes.
· Photo and video: Used for getting features, such as your wallpaper, Blur Effect, and Bing Chat Visual Search, and to show recent activities and backups. On Android 13 and higher, these permissions are replaced with the ‘All file’ access permissions.
· Notifications: Needed to notify you of any update or app activity.
· Contacts: Used for searching contacts on Bing Search.
· Location: Used for the Weather widget.
· Phone: Allows you to call your contacts with a swipe in Launcher.
· Camera: Used to create image notes for the Sticky Notes card and to search for images in Bing Search.
· Calendar: Used to show calendar info for the Calendar card in your Launcher feed.
You can still use Microsoft Launcher even if you do not consent to these permissions, but some functions may be restricted.

Downloading Microsoft Launcher gives the option to replace the default launcher or to toggle between device launchers. 5 ★I absolutely love the improvements made so far on the app, I gave it a go some years back and It came along way since the. I can say now it's more valuable, informative and so much easier to use than before.
4 ★I like the homescreen personalization options that I found missing on the native Android launcher and the integration with my windows/xbox account. One thing I can't seem to figure out is how to close all my open apps at once. I find myself having to close them all individually instead of tapping a button and they all close.
5 ★My favorite launcher! It runs so smoothly on Android 11 even on my 90hz screen. It offers more customization than the stock Oneplus launcher, and is intuitive to use. I love the hidden 2nd/3rd dock rows and icon sub grids. It's not the most customizable, but it's quicker and easier to set up than Smart, Action or Nova Launchers, and way more intuitive to use. Plus it's completely free! My only complaint is there's a slight delay for icons to reappear after minimizing apps. 5/5!
3 ★I really like this launcher, but lately I've noticed a deal breaking bug. About half the time I swipe to the right to get to my glance screen, it just shows the background with a translucent rectangle over the top 1/3. I have to either reboot or kill the launcher. This is a deal breaker for this app as it completely removes its most useful feature.
5 ★I used to use the Nova Launcher for years, then they eliminated some of the things that I thought were cool! So once again, I did some research and this is an awesome launcher! It really works well with my computer and Windows 10.
5 ★Hey Devs, can you guys do me a favour? The only thing I feel slightly off that when I tap the button "recent" to show recent apps there's some slight delay for "recents" displayed I hope In the next update this can be fixed. I use this launcher literally because this launcher really works well with my phone (Redmi note 9 pro) the latest update for my phone was android 11, it really comes with stuttering/lags when opening window like recent apps and notification centre even for unlocking phone.
4 ★I use Microsoft with mutiple devices. I like the fact that once I activate Microsoft Launcher on a new device, such as a new phone for example, within a day or so all my orginal features and setup from the old phone are transfered over to my new set up. At first the new phone acted just like a new phone would, in need of personalisation. Once prompted to activate launcher? My new phone oppereted, looked and acted just like my old version. Also, my systems all integarte nicely with each other.
5 ★Landscape on homescreen's the bomb! Now only need my gesture back or maybe I overlooked a setting. But otherwise GREAT application to use in car and elsewhere. Thanks. (Android 10, Qualcomm 855 Processor.) You made my older device significantly relevant again. Double Thanks.
3 ★I have finally settled with using this launcher for quite some time now after trying out pretty much all of the launchers out there. I liked that it's simple but yet does the job and also integrates seamlessly with my pc. Unfortunately, the search widget has been acting up recently, it kept reverting my search engine back to bing and browser to edge. This is very frustrating.
4 ★When I close an app I'm taken to a blank page of my home screen, so I have to do another swipe to get to the home screen. It appears that the problem is related to the navigation bar. The problem doesn't happen when I use buttons. I prefer to use gestures and that's when it happens.
5 ★A good straight forward launcher that has some good widgets along with it. It is clean looking and can show the Bing picture of the day for your background. In the year + that I have been using it there have only been a few minor bugs that get fixed pretty quickly. A solid choice if you are looking for something new.
4 ★After a month use i have updated my review Pros - fast, easy to use, editable, quick items to the left of home screen that I use daily. Cons - some times when you swipe up to cancel items, if you do it between apps, you can have apps be infront of the cancel apps selection. This is my only Gripe. Update - Reducing to 4 stars Seems as though the launcher can be buggy at times that force me to reboot the phone. Seems like an update to the launcher caused some problems
