A CBN Curitiba entrou no ar no dia cinco de maio de 1995.A CBN Curitiba entrou no ar com várias inovações: a principal foi a transmissão só de notícias, opção que não existia em emissoras AM ou FM da capital. Com isso, a CBN se tornou a primeira FM essencialmente jornalística do Paraná.
Em 2017, a CBN Curitiba completa 22 anos, e passa a ser transmitida também em AM com o prefixo 670, com uma programação jornalística local de seis horas diárias – de segunda a sexta – além da programação especial de sábado (CBN Debate) e as transmissões esportivas de jogos dos times paranaenses no AM.
