2 ★App only plays audio and no video for about 30 when starting any content (Hulu Live or a TV episode) on the Nvidia Shield TV 2019. It also does this after every commercial (ad) during the show. The app has absolutely no settings to adjust like any other streaming app to attempt to correct the problem. $70 per month and I can't even just click a show and watch it without problems. Side Note: the navigation really needs improvement as it takes way too many clicks to get to anything, the reaction from remote click to movement is extremely slow; combined issues results in accidentally clicking on the wrong thing contently.
1 ★The Hulu app is unusable now that the MiBox S was updated to Android 9 / PIe. All my other frequently used apps (Prime, YouTube TV, Netflix, YouTube) works fine since the Mi Blox update except the Hulu app. The video freezes after a couple minutes while the audio continues. The video eventually unfreezes but then it freezes again within a minute. Please fix thiis ASAP. Casting Hulu from my phone to the Mi Box S works but that's only a temporary solution.
1 ★I can't believe that the option for profile switching is not available, this does not make any sense at all, don't you guys want more users? this should be a natural feature in ALL of your apps, why pay for a service that does not include all the features? I am very disappointed in the lack of profiles, going to cancel my plan due to this, and will not ever use this service until this has been fixed!!!!
1 ★The available content in this version was truly pitiful. It was so bad that I immediately uninstalled the app and set up my pokey Roku Ultra agsin along with my older Fire TV box. I may have to reconsider bundling premium content providers to save a little money and go back to having individual subscriptions so I can install the individual apps (HBO Now, Cinemax, Starz, Showtime) instead of trying to rely on Hulu or Amazon Video.
1 ★Like every other recent user has stated, this app is useless. Biggest problem seems to be on demand playback. Can barely watch before video freezes and audio continues. If I watch on my tablet in browser and cast it to device no issue. So that points to this app being the issue and not my ISP. Hard to believe Hulu hasn't done anything to fix this considering the number of similar complaints recently.
1 ★App was freezing and stuttering after a recent system update to my Mi Box S 4K, so Hulu disabled the box’s ability to download this app. More recent updates to the Mi Box appear to have fixed the issue, so I am able to use the app now, but I have to side load it. Hulu, please fix this so that I can receive updates normally and not have to continue side loading.
2 ★The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because I can technically use it. But the fact that the Android TV version of Hulu doesn't match the mobile version is absurd! Missing the new layout, the option of profiles, and Hulu Live TV kind of defeats the purpose of having Hulu on the Android TV. Hulu please keep up with your competitors and update your app the same way Amazon and Netflix keep their versions consistent.
3 ★Why was compatibility with the Mi Box S removed? Can't install this on new Mi Boxes now!!! Maybe fix it instead of removing! Only giving 2 stars because it still works on the Shield TV. *** Update... The latest Mi Box update fixes the Hulu freezing issues... so now I can watch Hulu on the box where it was already installed but can't install it on a new Mi Box S... Please re-enable compatibility!!!
1 ★hulu android tv app is trash. Plays for 5 second then video pauses, then picks up again about 3 second later, repeated. The ausio plays fine the whole time. Worked fine for the first month then after Andriod tv update never worked again. Called hulu support , they attempted to blame my ISP (even though all other services worked including their parent companies Disney+). We discussed how if they wanted to do that I would need to conference call my ISP on the line and they moved on to blaming my router. When through resetting router and cable modem. Then moved on to blaming my device (a mii box s) repeatedly and referencing their own and confirming it was a supported device (kept saying it was a supported device but was older, but was supported, but was older). Repeatedly denied that the hulu app was the problem about 3 times until admitting it was and that the tech team was working on a fix. Gave a week service discount. Support call was an hour of chat and 3 hours of phone conversation about excuses and non-sense. It has been a month, no emails, no fixes, same issue. With the CEO stepping down maybe they will clean up there act, the Disney + works flawlessly...
2 ★It's nice to have Hulu on my Android TV but this is about as barebones of an app as they could have. Comparing this app to the Android phone app is like comparing Windows 3.0 to Windows 10. I'd love to have some more support from Hulu but I guess they don't care.
5 ★its about time they updated this for android tv! i can finally use profiles and everything now! havent had any major crashing or problems with it as other reviewers have, they may be having problems with it if their tvs arent powerful enough or their tv's operating system isnt up to date. both of which they have limited control over, besides checking in their system menu for updates the actual maker of the tv is responsible for operating system updates and i have found cheaper smart tvs usually have fairly limited updates after purchase, you get what you pay for
4 ★Thank you for givings is live TV but can you fix the Bluetooth audio bug where if the content is in surround sound it won't play from the Bluetooth headset instead you must manual shut off surround sound on the Sheild tv for it to work properly. This only happens in Hulu app live didn't happen in the classic app or any other apps i have installed.
