Description

With the eBike Connect app, you can customise your eBike experience: connected, individual and interactive. Connect your Nyon or Kiox via Bluetooth with your smartphone and flexibly plan your routes, use the navigation via your display, track your activities or protect your eBike from theft with the premium function eBike Lock. The eBike Connect app offers you many helpful functions for your eBike with the Bosch eBike system 2.

Please note: This app can only be used for eBikes with Bosch drive units and Nyon or Kiox on-board computers with Bosch eBike system 2.

Route planning and navigation
Use the flexible route planning and navigation of eBike Connect. You can conveniently plan your rides and customise, import or share routes. If you synchronise with Komoot and Outdooractive, you can discover even more exciting routes. In addition, eBike Connect app suggests you routes that fit with your preferences and mood (fast, scenic or eMountainbike). If you start your planned route in the app, it will be transmitted to your display or on-board computer.

Activities and fitness
From distance and duration to calories burned: view and evaluate all details of your eBike rides.

Help Center
Our Bosch eBike Help Center provides answers to your questions about your eBike. Here you will find FAQs, videos, and user manuals. To ensure that you always have access to the latest functions and improvements, we recommend that you update your Nyon or Kiox to the latest software version. You can find out how to update the software on your device here: https://www.bosch-ebike.com/en/help-center/ebike-connect

Settings
In the settings, you can customise your display screens or link eBike Connect with Komoot or Strava.

Premium functions for more security and personalisation
- With eBike Lock, you can park your eBike in a more relaxed way: The premium function offers additional protection against thieves. As soon as you disconnect the on-board computer, the eBike's drive unit no longer provides support, deterring thieves.
- With the premium function "Individual riding modes", you can personalize your Bosch eBike and set the drive unit’s support individually.
- Based on topographical conditions and the selected support level, the eBike Connect app calculates your remaining range.

Please note: The premium function eBike Lock in conjunction with the Kiox or Nyon display is compatible with the following Bosch drive units from the Bosch eBike system 2: Bosch Active Line, Active Line Plus from model year 2018 onward, Performance Line, Performance Line Speed and Performance Line CX as well as the Cargo Line from model year 2020 on compatible.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★The app used to be okay, not great but okay. Then came the "upgrade" which was in fact a serious degradation of already limited functionality. Amongst others, the inability to use miles instead of kilometres is infuriating, as is the loss of zoom when looking at completed trips. The "Newsfeed" is a waste of time and the Open Streetmap base looks primitive when compared with apps like Komoot. Come on Bosch, this could be a great system if you did your research and seriously improved this product.
2 ★Bosch, can you ease address the hundreds of requests from your users that the kiox does not connect to phones (android) and show route traveled, hight climbed or descended. We are crying out for you to patch this.
2 ★I've been looking forward to the Kiox update! So when it arrived I quickly connected my Kiox (worked fine), updated all firmware (also went smoothly, that's why there are 2 stars). But sadly the only thing that changed is the app quickly draining the battery of my phone while syncing with the Kiox is not working. :-( No data on my daily bike rides while I do exactly what is told in the FAQ. Uninstall for now, maybe try again in the future. 14/6 in response to Bosch's reaction: I am aware of the charge abilities of Kiox, however it's also draining my battery when I am not on my bike ;-) The problem seems to be the app. Also, not syncing any trip data makes the whole thing useless anyway. On a happy sidenote: Kiox itself rules, much nicer than my previous bike with an Intuvia :-)
1 ★Substantial changes came with the last update (30/11/18). The major one : deletion of the overall information about your monthly ride (km, ascension/elevation, calories). It was already missing a yearly information and all the previous months since January. Well now, the new update no longer gives you any information. All the data is now atomised with a unique daily information. What the heck of an update.
4 ★Seems ok but battery drain on my phone was next level. 3 hours from fully charged to dead. Also, you need to incorporate a start and stop feature for rides. You stop for ten minutes and you end up with a long ride split into many sections. Komoot and strava have this feature, I hope you can add this in the future. Location United kingdom
1 ★The navigation does not work. I've been trying to get on the Kiox for three days with no results, even on the app it doesn't work. The app has been updated, but does not work. There is no instruction for use. Bosch unworthy. Those who have developed this are suckers. Can Boch explain how to get the navigation on the app as well as on the Kiox. These engineers are real amateurs. They always answer "We thank you for your feedback .......". Always the same, but do nothing.
1 ★Had the app and hardware for 3 years. Frustrating and terrible: doesn't synch reliably. Hasent ever reliably connected bluetooth on any of my last 3 phones. takes on average 5 minutes of fiddling about switching on and off. This evening I wanted to plan a route for tomorrow nope sorry you must turn on "all the time location tracking" for this function to work! I just want to plan a route you don't need my location I want to look at the map and plan a route!
3 ★Struggling with route planning here in Spain, despite location on phone being accurate the app appears to want to assume we are in Germany? It takes an age to calculate and very often fails, then suddenly on the 2nd or 3rd go it planned the short 4 mile ride. In principle when it works it's OK but spending 10 minutes trying to plan a route is ludicrous.
1 ★Integration with Komoot does not work, I can see my planned Komoot tours in "saved routes" in this app but they do not load when clicked, the loading circle just spins for ever. This function does work on an iPhone, I've tried it so it must be a problem with the android app. You advertise integration with Komoot and it does not work. Developer suggests exporting Tour as GPX from Komoot & import GPX to ebike connect, just results in warning that the route will not work due to map differences.
2 ★After a day or two that the bike was not used. App. Didn't record the next ride. Apart from that, I tried to connect it manually as instructed on Kiosk. Still no progress. Than I decided to uninst all the app and re install it again. Than I paired it again and worked. This allready happened 3 times. this happend in the city not urban ride, evereything is fine with Kiosk apart from this problem. Thanks
2 ★Not a good app. Needs work still. I sync my last three rides and they dont show up. It shows it synced but not mileage or the rides. It also drains the battery on my phone. Also when o do one ride during the day when ot does work correctly it breaks it down into separate rides instead of one continuous ride like Garmin connect and strava do. I expect more from Bosch.
2 ★This app needs to be improved immensely. It hardly ever synchronises after a ride and if it does it inevitably says the route data is missing and/or other data is not available. The Kiox needs to have a function where you can select end of ride and sync with app. Also, within this app you need to be able to end ride and save activity. It could be so much better but as it is this app is next to useless. Stay with Strava/Summit.
