Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Whether it's bike riding in my home city of Greenville South Carolina or taking this app with me to the far reaches of the world (Lucca, Italy, Barcelona) I love this app. Easy to use and allows me to change different modes from hiking to biking. I love the ability of creating a route in the app will look for optimal route based on mode of transportation. It also gives you the ability of editing the route. Very well done!
5 ★The best app, that tracks my progress, as I'm hiking or biking, and I don't have to worry about it getting the trail wrong because like on Google maps, if the GPS doesn't sync up, it thinks you're cutting through half the town! This app keeps a very solid lock on the GPS signal, you don't have to use the Wi-Fi, and it does not drain your battery too much. So thank you for such a wonderful wonderful app, that I use just going from home to school, from school back to home, or about out in the town.
1 ★I downloaded Komoot to plan running routes on my phone and after about 15 minutes of it producing the most absurd routes imaginable, I had to just delete it and try another. Found the Footpath app and had accomplished my goal within about 2 minutes. Footpath is super fast and intuitive; you can draw with your finger exactly where you want to go; you won't be fighting against the AI to just run straight down a road like I was with Komoot. Highly recommend not getting Komoot - download Footpath
2 ★It will drain your phone's battery regardless of how old it is. I read the battery tips article. When I turn off sync, app says that option must be on for it to work. I keep the phone in my pocket, using it only to log bicycle rides, not even for music. The only thing I could still do is to turn off WiFi, but instead I've decided to log the ride with Specialized Mission Control free app b/c even if the map sucks, it won't drain the battery. Unfortunately, Komoot app is mostly useless.
2 ★A frustrating waste of money. I want to plan a simple route on my phone, but Komoot makes it complicated - I still haven't succeeded. My location -> Dave's house (manually chosen on map) -> village 1 -> village 2 -> village 3 -> Dave's > my location. I can't choose Dave's house a second time. Waypoints are addef in the wrong order. It doesn't show my destination in the list, only on the map. A user interface is like a joke. If you have to explain it, it isn't good enough.
3 ★Setting a destination is simple and straightforward if it's someplace like a tourist spot. But it's not helpful for things like the local grocery store; I have to approximate the location manually on the map, because the search function unreliable or useless in my area (Japan). So that's kind of disappointing. I also got annoyed by the constant Turn Off Power Saving Mode pop ups DURING my bike ride.
3 ★Pros: -Offline maps is sorta neat. -Riding interface has the map and stats at the same time. Cons: -Offline maps are expensive for what you get. -Offline navigation is a bit helpless. -Riding interface text is small. Can't see street names while I'm riding with the phone on my bars. -Komoot should really be trying to emulate the heat maps feature of Strava so that I can find more 'lesser travelled' routes. -It would also be nice to be able to sync to Strava directly from Komoot.
3 ★It looks pretty enough, but the route finder completely ignores a bike route with a dedicated lane in favor of a busy thoroughfare with no bike lane nearby. For what, speed? It's not even as direct a route. The route finding function is the only thing that might have made this app worth the whole account creation process you have to go through just to try out its features. If it doesn't work right, I have no reason to keep using this app. Uninstalled.
1 ★It was advertised as a great hiking and biking app to find trails. It didn't do that. It simply showed areas around me that had hiking trailheads. It didn't even show the hikes, it just showed the area to get in. I live in Anchorage Alaska which has some of the best bike trails in the city. You can bike from towns an hour away and it didn't even show them. Either the app was too confusing to figure out or it's only good in some areas.
4 ★Lots of great features for cyclists. I take off one star because it lacks a crucial routing feature found in other routing apps; the ability to switch routing modes between points to get the route to go on interstates and other non-bike-friendly roadways. This is crucial since these roads are often the only feasible option for stretches of intercity routing here in the US.
5 ★I would give 5 stars just thank developers to put time into GW App. It's been sold for me, I love Voice turn by turn keeps my eyes on the road. I don't know if possible if there is enough Watch power but would be nice to have offline Maps on the watch only. But over all awesome app, i run alongside with Samsung Health same time so I can track biometric.
1 ★Grim. Installed on a new Samsung phone and new Samsung watch. Komoot tells me on the watch that it has lost connection with the phone - all the other apps have not. The watch and the phone are 10cm apart. Then seemed to hang up over and over again on watch as it failed to talk to the phone app. I have uninstalled it on both devices. Phone/watch both running latest OS. I thought this would be excellent but it was just an annoying waste of time.
