Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★This app was really great (and I still use it on desktop). However, lately, it won't decrypt the entries. It says it is, but it gets stuck on that. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still doesn't work anymore. Very unfortunate.
3 ★I'm evaluating this against KeePass+Dropbox. One thing that is a deal-breaker is the inability to see what I'm typing while I enter my decryption phrase. It's long for security, so one typo and I have to start all over. I need to see it so I can fix it, or I'm going to ragequit this app. :-) I can't give this a thorough test until that's fixed.
5 ★So far so good. Although would be nice to have a bit more functionality, the simplicity is welcome and obviously for the price (at least for now...) can't ask for too much. Trying 1Password as well but Android app not currently working and a lot of the language used + functionality is unclear and inconsistent. Plus they just went to subscription. Hoping I can just stick with Encryptr
3 ★I love the zero knowledge full encryption, the search function is handy, but there are a few things missing. Such as entry sorting (by alphabet, date etc.), and categories, (like communication, finance etc) and export to pdf-print-outs for example.
3 ★Needs a built-in password generator. Without ability to generate strong random password by specifying length and character groups, this app has limited usefulness. Following that, add ability to create multiple categories, and I'll consider switching from KeePass+Dropbox combo.
3 ★You really need to provide a way to export all settings offline. The centralized nature of this app puts information puts in grave danger and user will have no access to any of their accounts.
3 ★I used this application for awhile as I was trying to transition off of Lastpass but the product was lacking and has yet to be updated since 2015. I would probably move back to this app if it was more actively updated.
1 ★This app has gone from bad to worse. Frequently hangs or doesn't save entries at all. My local database was corrupted and the app claimed it was redownloading... For 2 hours. It doesn't take 2 hours to download what is essentially an encrypted excel sheet. A huge hassle. Look elsewhere.
4 ★Would love the ability to edit the password generator slightly. How long, whether it should exclude certain things, etc...
2 ★Doesn't save or show entries created in mobile app. It's really only useful for pulling up entries created on desktop version. I'm a paying SpiderOak One customer, so I am a bit disappointed that this doesn't work better.
3 ★Was a perfect, simple password manager but recently has stopped working. Got stuck creating new entries and after a reinstall now gets stuck on decrypting entries. Please update!!
4 ★A simple app focused on secure, encrypted cloud storage of sensitive data, namely usernames and passwords. It's truly cross platform (Mac, Win, Linux, iOS and Android -nb: app has been updated and is working once again on Android after a period of downtime in 2017).
