1 ★Mobile app is awful, all the buttons are scrambled, videos won't start, randomly closes and the play bar doesn't work so you can't get back to the point in the workout you were at. You try to make a video full screen and it skips 15 seconds instead, you try to press play and the video mutes, etc. It's a mess.
3 ★Love the classes - the app is buggy. Doesn't track any classes I cast and suddenly stopped tracking what I watch on my phone. This wouldn't be a big deal if they didn't also incentivize your number of classes completed. update since last update: still buggy and crashes when I cast to TV from my phone. I have to use my computer and a Roku to cast. I really love these classes but it really needs another update 😩
4 ★Edit: Added two stars because uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixed the issue. I LOVE Obé, but this app needs so much work. I can't even get it to open half the time. It crashes immediately. Very frustrating when you're ready to work out and have to find some other device to do it on.
1 ★There is no easy way to cancel a subscription unless you sign up through Google pay. I made the mistake of signing up on their website via credit card, and they want you to actually call them during business hours to cancel. I've sent a contact message and will be calling to cancel my subscription. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE if you want to just try out their videos! Go elsewhere with an easy to change or cancel subscription. This reeks of scammy behavior.
3 ★Although I love using Obé, I cannot stand the app. It constantly crashes. And while you can use a web viewer version of the program, they don't let you view many of the workouts unless you use the app... Which doesn't work. So I'm in this constant loop of not really being able to use my membership effectively.
4 ★This review references the ANDROID APP ONLY AND NOT OBE AS A PLATFORM. I ADORE OBE and don't want anyone to confuse my review as a review against the actual fitness aspect of Obe. Thanks to development team for always being on top of things. Currently experiencing problems with class history and class tracker. Nothing is showing up 🥲 it hasn't updated in weeks.
1 ★I love the Obe subscription, but lately, this app will not let me cast to my TV. It shuts the app down when I try and tells me there's a bug and to update the app when a new version is out. I've tried restarting the app, clearing the cache, and reinstalling it. Nothing works, and it's very frustrating!
1 ★I consistently have problems with this app (android) it will work for a while (been a member for 1.5 yrs) and then it glitches. After this new update my classes dont register. I was on a streak of over 150 days in a row and didnt realize it stopped. I have to now run the class again on my computer so it shows taken. Really a drag. Vip care never ever lets me know status or when something is fixed. I get the same canned response. Obe instructors are a 10. App and service a 2.
1 ★Excellent classes, but the app is one of the worst I've ever tried to use. It continuously crashes when I try to use it, and has done this for months. When I tried to reach out to their team, I got canned answers and then they just stopped answering. You'd think they would have fixed these problems especially ahead of January, but no, no they didn't.
1 ★EDIT 12/11/21: Tried reinstalling the app again due to there being a new update, app still crashes and does not allow streaming. App crashes anytime i try to play a video. ORGINAL: The app no longer works after the Android update. Deleting the app and clearing out data does NOT fix the problem. The app crashes upon opening and streaming is not possible.
3 ★Good classes, but the TV casting never works. Setting up my phone in a way to just do the classes from my phone is not a great experience and very inconvenient. Exploring this app while in my third trimester and will probably stick with through August. If this isn't fixed by then I'll probably explore other apps when I return postpartum.
1 ★You have to call them to cancel your membership. Every other workout app I have ever used allows you to do it online. Their hours are limited, you can't leave a voicemail, and I'm in a different time zone so that makes it even more difficult. I don't go to big gyms for this very reason. I actually liked the workouts in this program but wanted to wait to start my billing until my previous program finished its term, but now I will not be signing up for this at all.
