Tabandan ve demokratik örgütlenme modeli Gelişim ve Demokrasi Partisi’nin temel ilkesidir.Ülkemizin siyasi gerçekleri ve ihtiyaçları göz önüne alınarak kurulan Gelişim ve Demokrasi Partisi, her alanda eşitsizlik ve adaletsizliklere karşı halkı demokratik usullerle örgütleyerek mücadele etmek üzere kurulmuştur.
Mücadelesinin ilk evresi partinin tabana yayılması, demokratik, katılımcı ve halkçı bir yapıya ulaşma hedefidir. Var olan siyasi partiler maalesef demokratik geleneklerden uzaklaşmış, olması gereken özelliklerini kaybetmişlerdir. Yeni parti ihtiyacını besleyen asıl neden budur.
Çağdaş demokrasi, bireysel özgürlüklerin savunulması ve kadın erkek eşit temsil Gelişim ve Demokrasi Partisi’nin ana zemini olacaktır. Amacımız attığımız adımların halkta karşılık bulması ve geleceğin çağdaş ve müreffeh Türkiye’sini kuracak iktidarı oluşturmak, katkı vermektir.
GDP kurucu değerler ekseninde siyaset yapmakta ve çağdaş, laik, demokratik ve refahın adil bölüşüldüğü Türkiye Hedeflemektedir.
