lah pengarang kitab Maulid yang termasyur dan terkenal dengan nama Mawlid Al-Barzanji. Karya tulis tersebut sebenarnya berjudul ‘Iqd Al-Jawahir (kalung permata) atau ‘Iqd Al-Jawhar fi Mawlid An-Nabiyyil Azhar. Barzanji sebenarnya adalah nama sebuah tempat di Kurdistan, Barzanj. Nama Al-Barzanji menjadi populer tahun 1920-an ketika Syaikh Mahmud Al-Barzanji memimpin pemberontakan nasional Kurdi terhadap Inggris yang pada waktu itu menguasai Irak.
Rawi Barzanji merupakan kitab maulid nabi yang paling populer dibaca di masyarakat Melayu, namun ada yang menganggap Bid`ah, yaitu orang yang kurang piknik keilmuannya dan fanatik pada satu pendapat.
Kelompok ini umumnya suka mempermasalahakan khilafiyah yang sudah dibahas habis oleh ulama ratusan tahun yang lalu. namun diangkat kembali.

Dalam acara tersebut, biasanya dibawakan oleh sejumlah orang, mulai dari pembukaan, pembacaan Al-Barzanji pasal satu sampai dengan pasal empat, dilanjutkan dengan Marhabanan. untuk marhabanan bisa di download di aplikasi yang akan di terbitkan berikutnya.
