Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

2 ★This was a very good app, but the last few updates made it less readable and full of bugs. It won't save the progress of your plans accurately anymore. You have to figure out each day where you left off and mark all your work. Also, the app is now extremely slow to load pages, not the actually listening, but the browsing in the app crawls when it works at all. The reading is excellent, but the app needs to go back to the way it used to be or do some serious bug fixes.
2 ★Latest update is very disappointing. My plan progress does not save from day to day. When trying to follow along with the audio, it doesn't allow you to see the verse without constantly scrolling back and forth. I do not like the new look of the highlights feature either. When reading in a plan, the previous version would allow you to see your progress. So if there were 5 components to that day, you would see 1/5 or 3/5 as you clicked through.
3 ★I love the ways they keep evolving to stay relevant. The Bible plans are fantastic. Not to beat a dead horse, but the update has caused many problems. My biggest issue is that it no longer updates the daily prayers. I keep seeing the same ones over and over again. I keep saving them, and it says they are saved, but during Guided Prayer, it's the same prayers being repeated every few days.
2 ★Whatever was done in the latest version is almost unusable. All of the highlight verses are grayed out in the dark mode. When reading a devotional and select a verse to highlight, then close the window without highlighting, it throws you out of the devotional page that you're reading [fixed]. Very frustrating! The delete highlight is confusing. It was very simple with the color button and X on it. Now you have to look for the little X on the side[fixed]. How can we go back to the prior version?
2 ★This APP was once perfect! Now, since the updates, it REALLY GETS ON MY NERVES! UUGH! I hate it! 1. When trying to listen & read along, it jumps forward several paragraphs so I can't see the words as they're being read. Annoying!!! 2. As I am reading a chapter, if I jump out to check my messages or something in another app, YouVersion closes & I have to go back in to open it back up to the book I was reading! Grrrr! 3. It won't let me highlight a single verse. It highlights a whole paragraph.😤
1 ★The new update has broken the app, the audio and reading feature don't sync, the plan progression doesn't work I have to mark them myself, every completed day it feels like the app is going to crash. Also, I can't pick specific verses and don't have many of the nice features I used to like, every action I do feels "heavy". Please bring back the old version when it was user friendly, this new one has too much bugs.
3 ★I really loved how this app was. The newer updates have caused so many issues. The plan days are off track. Listening with audio, there is no longer a bar to show where you are at, and sometimes the chapters do not scroll with the audio. The highlights are now very opaque and almost pointless if you are trying to highlight verses in certain colors. It deletes notes from Saved Events. If you share a verse straight to your social media stories, it no longer counts toward a badge.
2 ★Suddenly buggy. Overall, the UI is pretty good, and the selection of languages and versions is nearly unparalleled. Howeve, since the v24 release, plan sync is a joke. The new UI is quite flawed as well. Primarily in the audio. Why put the play button where the next chapter button should be, while highlighting next, making it different than previous? Not to mention grammatical errors Devs, please fix. If you need help, please email me. Blessings and thanks.
2 ★Everything was going well until this recent update. I just finished day 3 of a plan, but it didn't save what I wrote. It also didn't check off the boxes that I finished it. On the previous day, it saved what I wrote but copied it two more times. I was able to delete it, but it also didn't check off the boxes. Could you please fix this? The colors aren't as vibrant anymore either, so highlighting seems purposeless now. 😞
1 ★I used to love this app until the latest update. Nothing works anymore. It won't mark my progress. Serious problems with audio.. So terribly disappointed. I believe the intention was good but the "upgrade" was a serious downgrade. Update: Still having the same issues.. namely, the app will not keep my progress or allow me to follow along with audio. Every time I log in, I have to manually mark devotions that I've read. Very frustrating! Really thought they would have fixed it by now!?!?!?
3 ★It is ok if you connect to the Internet, but when it is off, it struggles to read content online that is not available. It was easier to use the older version, but today, this new version of the app is mainly based on internet conneceted devices. Just the start of this year, the streak tracker reset twice, once at the beginning of the year and then two days later, even after you have active in your readings. Also, note that when doing plans that you down, they also struggle to update and hang.
4 ★Was having boat load of problems. Uninstalled, did hard start, day later reinstall, and viola!! I have my Bible that I've loved for years...mostly! Reason for only 4 stars, when reading Bible in a plan, instead of showing all the scripture, it ALWAYS moves couple scripture back. Have to fix it...every time. Was lost that day, I didn't have a Bible on my phone! Thank you for doing this. Please, I.T. dept, please...fix it.
