Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★I'm paying $44/month for a subscription for the online paper. Then a few months ago I started getting messages that I was paying $7.99 each month for the paper. Meanwhile I'm still paying $44/month for the online paper. When I call the subscription office to ask about the $7.99/month payments, they have no idea what that is for and assured me that it was not for the online subscription. So, can anyone tell me what the $7.99/month charge is for?
1 ★Great newspaper. Unusable app. Never recognizes this long-time subscriber. I signed in one time to the New York Times app and it always recognizes me. The password situation is impossible. The call center couldn't fix anything. They had an email address for me from 15 years ago.
1 ★I appreciate that Orlando Sentinel is reporting on central Florida news that I care about. Sadly, their app is garbage. I'm already signed into the app, but any article that I try to read opens in a new browser instance within the app where I'm NOT signed in. Of course, the log-in process is broken, so there is no access for me. What amature work. Since this garbage app merely opens a web page, I'm going to uninstall it and just use the website directly.
1 ★Unable to cancel subscription
1 ★Paid for the subscription and can't access it.
1 ★This app is awful. Ads disrupt. Asks me to login when I'm already a subscriber.
5 ★Great
1 ★MAYBE THE POOREST NEWS APP EVER. IT STINKS! After paying fully, I was tired of getting "You've reached your monthly free article limit." I complained & the apparently inept OS (Orlando Sentinel) management never responded. The dismal 2.6 rating here speaks for itself. Read all the complaints, and see why the OS seems to be dying. The deterioration has gone on for years. Does anyone on the Orlando Sentinel management team care? (Apparently not. No responses. Too lazy?)
2 ★Poor performance from this app. Logging in is a chore.
1 ★New update doesn't work.
